They are brainwashed. That’s the only way I can explain it. They have a romantic idea in their head about communism and socialism that is completely utopian. At the same time, they are biased against NATO, the US and the West in general to the extreme. And it predates the Junta between 67 and 74. It stems from the civil war. The communists lost the conflict but their ideas survived.
You can’t reason with them. They are a broken record, always decrying imperialism and the “murderers of the people, the Americans”.
Problem is that the Indians rely largely upon Russia for military hardware. US has been supporting Pakistan because of terrorism fears (a terrible mistake, imo) but would do much better to get India firmly back onside as a bulwark to the real evil of the CCP and Putin rather than worrying about local jihadis.
Have that sort here to. ‘Russia helped in the struggle against apartheid, the big evil in the West, we will never denounce Russia etc etc etc’. All the while living the lifestyle afforded by an open and democratic system, driving around in fancy western cars, dressed in the latest European fashion and speaking around gourmet foods in their mouths.
I’d love to send them over to Mother Russia and let them live there for a while since they love it so much.
