Listening to Tobias Ellwood now, chair of the Defence Select Committee, sounds like NATO are preparing to put ships into the Black Sea.
It doesnât even have to be a NATO decision. A NATO member can decide for itself to put assets into international waters near Odessa and then see if Russia dares to attack them.
We should have done this weeks ago, imo.

Someone needs to act. So long as the only consequences are hand-wringing and condemnation, Russia will keep doing what theyâve been doing. Obviously no-one wants another World War, but what the fuck good does that do for the Ukrainian people? Theyâre literally losing everything while everyone else stands around and looks on with disgust and horror.
When is the time to act? When is the time to fight back against a regime that doesnât give a shit about international conventions and institutions? When is the time to add proper military might to the struggling Ukrainian effort? Has to be soon, IMO. This canât be allowed to go on.

I think this is where the Russian government is winning strategically. Itâs basically clear that most NATO countries are just staying hands-off this situation, and their manipulation of democracies is paying off with the pro-Russia sentiment, alongside the cynicism about government.

We should have had assets in international waters and told Russia that any plane that was determined to be loaded with bombs would be shot down if headed towards Ukraine. Same with missiles launched in that direction.

Before the âspecial operationâ. Should have sent ships into the Black Sea, Planes over Ukraine and soldiers on the borders.
Once the âspecial operationâ was under way make Ukraine a no fly zone. If âtheyâ had done this Ukraine would have been able to defend so much better and easier (the south being the exception but counter attacking there much sooner would have prevented a lot of shit.
I think Putin is likely to use nukes anyway so weâre not gaining anything sitting back like this imo.
