No, it is really just Soviet doctrine at work. Higher officers works at forward positions unlike in NATO, as they have bad command and control and donāt have ncoās. This has been written much about.

I dont really care if its fake. It only shows 1/5 of the crew, so doesnt prove the crew is saved.
