This is a fall back objective though. Initially, it was all of Ukraine. This is however the maximalist objective from 2014-2015, which Russia later left for a frozen conflict. In 2014 and 2015 the Separatists used Novorossya flags all the time. Girkin was raging that they left the reconquest of Novorossya for a frozen conflict and was removed as defense minister in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
