Fletchette ammunition is not illegal as far as I know. There is a debate if they should be legal or not, but they are legal for now.

I think these are Ukrainian attacks. I don’t understand the point of staging such false flags if it is Russia. If you have noticed, Ukraine always denies any attacks on Russian territory, even though we know they have committed several cross county raids. Ukraine will likely continue to deny anything to make Russia look bad and incompetent.

“Reports” are coming in that the fires in #Bryansk, Russia were started by drones. It could be long-range missile drones, like the Byraktar TB2, which could easily reach #Bryansk from north-central Ukraine. Furthermore, it could of course also be a Russian false flag. But…would Russia destroy their EU pipeline?? Ukraine doesn’t earn on this line as it doesn’t go through UA. But in that case it would also hit Poland ?! The Czech Republic, Slovenia, Croatia and Hungary could be supplied via the Brody branch (Odessa pipeline). Belarus and RU don’t earn anything anymore. Only Germany would then possibly have a problem.

Edit
But that would probably be somehow solvable and that is currently being worked on anyway under high pressure here to replace Russian oil as soon as possible.

I don’t see any gain for Russia to destroy strategic infrastructure but a lot of gain for Ukraine. I believe the only reason why Ukraine denies it is because Russia rages hard at every attack inside Russia and Ukraine do not want to fuel their anger and force them to do punitary bombing campaigns.

And the train “accident”. It’s remarkable that these accidents, which are truly rare, happens on the border to Ukraine and during war, lol. It’s no accidents. People should not buy the bullshit from either side. Both Russia and Ukraine lies a lot about these attacks.

They were - US artillery used them as emergency defensive rounds when their positions were under direct threat. Poor range, but wide area of effect.

In reality, the Russians are stupid not the let the civilians escape. If they did, they could just use FAB 1000 bombs and dig large holes in the plant area . But the Rssians are obsessed with not letting anyone escape to free Ukraine. They want to only let them escape to parts of Ukraine occupied by Russia.

Probably a MANPAD. Interesting that the Russians keep flying this low with their beautiful Sukhois (they are such beautiful planes). Means it was likely on a bombing run and was dropping probably iron rounds and didn’t want to miss. Risky.

I think that could be just Russian pilots following Russian doctrine, although the iron bombs part is plausible enough. The Russian air force doesn’t seem to have adapted tactics for the ‘contested air superiority’ case, they appear to have training for two situations - total control, and operations against air superiority. So their pilots just do what they always do, operate at altitudes that make NATO gear uncomfortable.

The weird thing is both sides are doing that, although those tactics make a lot more sense for UKR.

After the many fires and accidents in recent times, I also tend to think that everything was Russian anti-war sabotage. And Russia, of course, would never admit that.
Maybe there is an apparently well-organized resistance. At least that’s what it looks like to me.
