HEAVY DOSE of salt needed. Why the fuck would anyone admit to such a plan in advance.

I agree but I have been think how great it would be if Ukraine managed some kind of big counter offensive on May 9th.

Something really embarrassing.

Yep, I watched it, awful. Poor animals. I didn’t want to post it.

They shoot them just to ruin the economy and agriculture, using food as weapon. We have seen systematic liquidation of livestock in areas that the Ukrainians take back from Russia.

Important reminder:

Really hope Scholz goes and not only send Steinmeier. Would mean a lot as a signal. Would be important.

Of course I’m aware of that, but it still doesn’t make any sense, like in this case, to kill all the cows when they supposedly want to stay there. Russians have to eat too.

It’s spite. And not necessarily grand strategy ordered by a colonel or general. Probably a leutanant or captain who decides that they shoot anything left alive worth money to Ukraine when they withdraw so that Ukraine can’t evacuate the animals. It may also be a strategy.

They won’t! Scholz already said that. They will sent Annalena Baerbock imo. And she’s the better choice anyway, at least she was all the time pro Ukraine and anti Nordstream etc.

Anything else would really surprise me.

Scholz going himself would send the signal that Germany needs to send. Him not going will lead to a massive dose of condemnation of Germany like we have seen this last months. I don’t understand him if he chooses to not go when going will be so effectful.
What does he lose by going ? It is not as if Russia will kill him ? Of course, tiny minuscule chance of being a victim of a bomb, but seriously .

Well, he thinks different apparently. But tbf, its a bit of the Ukraines own fault, it was totally undiplomatic to reject the Federal President when he wanted to come at that time.

Its a big thing here in Germany believe me, media, Talkshows etc. And on top of that the Ukrainian Ambassador pulling the strings, insulting everyone, demanding lot of things etc.

This needs time so that everyone can calm down first.

Today we thank Russia for their contribution to the weirdness of internet.

I agree that the Ukrainian envoy is behaving unproductively and I have taken some flak saying so on twitter.
On the other hand, Ukrainian annoyance with Germany is very understandable. But he is a diplomat and should do better when he tries to persuade Germany to help more, since he has imo been very unhelpful.
