Russian War Crimes (Part 2)

Russian armour still operating without infantry support. Randomly driving down a track that already has a hulk sitting dead on it surrounded by a thick hedgerow/wood. What could possibly go wrong?

I read somewhere that the Russians were moving their heavy artillery up to the east bank of the river in anticipation of the Ukranian assault. If they have to forego the city then it looks like the plan is to competely destroy it before they leave.

this sounds exactly like something the RUS army would do, in line with what happened in Kharkiv.

That said, UA artillery out-reaches RUS artillery so wouldn’t be surprised to see a bunch of attacks on east bank before taking Kherson.

There’s a reason why UA hasn’t been updating anything in Kherson region lately…

Apparently a battalion of newly mobilised and poorly equipped men was annihilated by Ukrainian artillery. Fuck me, Russian command is a shambles.

Firstly, putting together a command like that is sheer idiocy and it’s seems a theme where mobilised men are lumped together with no experienced men and no NCO’s and basically left to their own devices to become cannon fodder. Why the fuck aren’t they being integrated with regular troops to reconstitute existing forces is beyond me. It possibly is happening, but large numbers of newly mobilised men are being thrown in the deep end with little training, equipment or leadership. They’re literally killing their own men.

Secondly, it’s fucking stupid as some of these men could probably be developed into very effective and competent combat troops given time and investment into their capabilities but no, they’re simply seen as meat to catch a bullet. They’re basically using their men to try and exhaust Ukrainian supply. This is simply unconscionable. How can they have so little regard for their own men? I’m really struggling to get my head around it.

They’re recruiting from prisons, so killing two birds with one stone… So to speak

On another note, my local radio station, well, it’s pretty big and covers the province so it’s hardly ‘local’, last week ran with the Russian ambassador to the UK saying that he had evidence that the UK conducted the operation in Sevastopol. The framing of the news report was so as to make it credible with the throwaway line, ’ The UK denies involvement’ at the end. I contacted them with footage of this same fellow flat out denying war would happen a few days before it did and urging them to not report Russian claims as anything other than propaganda.

No reply at all. Not that I’m surprised. Just a personal anecdote as to how media coverage around the world may not be as scathing and against this war as we expect them to be.

Just like everyone did during WWI. A disgrace!

Have to agree there too. Incredible to view those command decisions in this century. I mean, what the fuck? Firepower and tactics just didn’t move forward at the same rate. Like Russia, now, I suppose.

They’ve recruited approximately 300 000 men in this mobilisation drive. While a number of them are prisoners the majority of them are ordinary civilians with alot of those from ethnic minorities and, as we have seen, some caught protesting and press ganged immediately.

The Russian mentality still seems to be very serf/lord with the lord not really giving two fucks about the serf.
