Russian War Crimes (Part 2)

Very illuminating of the depravity of the Russian political elite.

Now if I were an actor with the means of doing so, and the intention of bringing the Russian government down, I would just circulate these stories non-stop in Russian social media.

Look at history, mate: during WW2, the Russian army lost 8,7 millions soldiers. Now, we can understand why. Putin uses the same doctrine as Stalin at the time.

Difference being that in WW2 they were under existential threat. Now they are the aggressors. At some point deserting is going to seem like the sane option.

I saw something last night that said MILLIONS of Russians have left their country for the neighboring stans
Like 8.9mil I think the number was?

Nah , those figures can’t be right.

You’re right it’s only 700,000. Not sure what I was reading

Honestly, all this is just terribly depressing. The lives of so many ruined just because of some megalomaniacs’ small penises.

What I find strange is how routinely the Russians admit how badly it’s going.

I know that we don’t get a lot of negative UA reporting via western channels. I know that it’s quickly turning into a bit of a stalemate as the weather turns shitty and we likely won’t see any real progress as the two armies entrench themselves and hunker down for winter.

But you have to ask how this is going to benefit Ukraine if Russia is able to prepare a hundred thousand conscripts for mobilization in the spring? Ukraine doesn’t have that many bodies on the ground and their sole saving grace is the support they are receiving from the West.

Whilst I have hope for Zelensky to pull UA out of this mess intact
I do honestly wonder if the current battle lines are going to continue on for the next year?

That’s what I’m wondering. Without the updates by the frankly brilliant people in this thread, I would have nary an idea of what’s going on in the battlefield, but it often does feel like we run the risk of just getting the story from a blue-and-yellow tinted glasses point of view.

during the summer, weather allowed for mobility of troops, armor and armaments.

This time a year it gets a bit more difficult. troops require heat for prolonged periods and until the ground freezes it gets swampy in low-lying areas similar to what happened to all the RU tanks that got stuck in the spring.

RU command have left a trap wide out in the open for the UA. Russia are conceding the City of Kherson as it’ll be too much effort to try and maintain it with their supply roads cut from Crimea. So they’re emptying out the area. They’ll be marking out specific areas which they will target with their artillery from the east for when the Ukrainians attempt to enter. Stripped the city bare of infrastructure, they’ll leave nothing behind. if Ukraine wants to move back into the city, they’ll have to pay for it with their blood.

knowing this, I suspect we’ll see some long-range munitions and drones come into play from the Ukrainians as they’ll try to attack the Russians on their side of the river before entering Kherson en masse
I feel like this area will be the 21st century version of Bastogne

Russia supplying Ukraine with more tanks than all the Ukraine arms shipments combined. All the while nervously dusting off the T-55’s in storage and chaining their T-14’s to the floor.
