All I have to say to him is, ‘open your eyes!’
US President Joe Biden has said it is “unlikely” that a missile that killed two people in Poland on Tuesday was fired from Russia.
Poland now saying its very likely it came from Ukraine. Phew thats a relief.
Yep the sky looked like a bonfire night in Middlesbrough there seemed that many duds in the air.
Like I said before Russia has noting to gain with starting a war with NATO.
As an outsider I was surprised by the fact that they have so much trouble with Ukraine tought they were much stronger than they are.
Poetin blew a nice smokescreen over the years but I see were he is coming from he must be really afraid that Ukraine jointed the EU and NATO…
He has managed to look like a fool in trying and established that the good people of Sweden and Finland who had no interest in joining NATO made a U-turn and soon will be.
My analogy on this is that Russia started a bar fight and Ukraine tried to defend itself. In the melee Poland, who was sitting in the corner minding their own business, got hit by a stray bottle.
It does appear that Poland and NATO are showing some restraint with this. I suspect that the main response will be to increase the number of reconnaissance flights on the Polish border.
I don’t think it was a smokescreen. In a system built on corruption and lies, he had no real idea how rotten his armed forces were. They haven’t been tested in a generation, but have a puffed-up resume built on rolling over lightly armed insurgents or hopelessly outnumbered and underequipped conventional forces like Georgia.
Yes, and fear in telling Dictator exactly what he wants to hear. Surovikin’s broadcast advice to Shoigu an exemplar of this. The longest running pantomime and no better example of mass psychosis; their sophist narratives are completely devoid of reality. But not amusing, rather extremely volatile.
As much as I deplore the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I am relieved for now that Nato are not using the Poland missiles as a reason to wage a full blown war. But still its very sad that I don’t even see when and how this war is gonna end with more people dying and losing their homes and families.
$26 million worth of fireworks there
Heard Ukraine has denied its anti air system has accidentally fired into Poland despite NATO and the US clearly saying it was fired from Ukraine and forgiving Ukraine for that mishit.
Not a very good look on Zelensky!
Unless it’s actually a Russian missile which got there by accident, and NATO don’t want to fan the flames by pretending that it is an Ukrainian missile. Both scenarios are possible.
The only thing we can admit for sure is that this missile wasn’t intentionally sent into Poland territory. And that NATO aren’t looking to go to direct war with Russia, otherwise they could have used this as a perfect casus belli.
Both sides are involved in systematic disinformation, it is just one narrative is tailored to western ideals, the other to Russian barbary, but both sides are lying like fck. I have been to Ukraine and worked there, and from being an outsider, could not get a hair between the norms of speech of the Russians and Ukrainians. This is an ideological war. The Ukrainians would like to think they are ready to join with the West but they sadly are not. A very dangerous situation. I am sorry if this offends anyone here, but it is the truth.
Kalibr is listed at 980 000 dollars when sold domestically and 6.5 mil as export.
Still very expensive, but not as exepensive as many think.
Irist-TM costs, I think and as far as I understand from data, 380 000 Euro per missile.
But yes, these Russian missile barrages are extremely costly and unsustainable in a high tempo, which is probably why they launch them in barrages now and then.
Not offended at all. Ukraine has changed a lot since 2014 though, but corruption will of course still be a problem even if it is much less than before.
As to the rocket landing in Poland,Ukraine thought it was Russian, partly because S-300 when launched in its primary purpose and not set for ground attack, is supposed to self destruct (when you set it for ground attack, which Russia does in the east and around Kharkov when it bombs those sites, you turn the self destruct off at launch).
It sounds like there may have been a technical failure on it. What is the actual range of these? Is it technically possible that the Russians could have launched it?
