Russian War Crimes (Part 2)

So the Chinese have finally rolled out their much awaited (ahem) ‘peace plan’ for Ukraine. It clearly looks like they ran it past Putin first for his approval.

’ Speaking to CNN, the US national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, dismissed much of the paper’s contents.

“My first reaction to it is that it could stop at point one, which is to respect the sovereignty of all nations,” he said.

“Ukraine wasn’t attacking Russia. Nato wasn’t attacking Russia. The United States wasn’t attacking Russia … Russia’s aims in the war were to wipe Ukraine off the map, to absorb it into Russia.”

I think it’s him stopping the use of make up for photo ops and stopping wearing suits, more than him looking much older. Most such photos of people you will see pre-invasion are full of cosmetics and certainly the picture to the left is glossy with make up. After Russia invaded and threw all of Ukraine into war, not just positional shelling in Donbas, he has entirely stopped using suits and other elitist clothes, started growing a beard to look a bit more masculine so (and stopped unccessary peace time things like cosmectics) to be respectful to his people and soldiers. And this choice has given him great respect, also from his previous political opponents.
Mostly anyway, perhaps he would look a bit older today even with make up, but it is hard to say. Stress and grief can certainly age you before your time, that is true. But always hard to say with celebrities since their faces have so much carefully placed cosmetics on them for photographs and tv.

It is an interesting development. Probably one part a new weapon or weapons, and one part UKR concentrating a lot of ammo to try to run out the remaining time before the thaw. If they disrupt logistics for just a few days, it could make a massive difference.

North Bakhmut

South Bakhmut

And…

I predicted UA would hold Bakhmut until after the aniversary, but now it is looking like time is almost up.
Only 1 road left, I would begin withdrawal asap. Encirclement and destruction of of experienced personell is unacceptable.

Finally they are doing something

The Russians are quite literally happy to raze these cities in order to take them. They take the land, empty out the buildings and go shopping for new appliances, then level the place if they can’t steal it.

Anyone know what the cities like Donetsk and Luhansk look like these days? Are people living there?

Mariupol?
