There is a solid reason that the test case is a single aircraft, rather than for example Abrahimovich’s frozen holdings. There is a real chance that this gets struck down, either in the Canadian system or in international bodies - the case is being watched carefully in a lot of Western capitals.
what happened to all of his funds from the sale of Chelsea?
Those would have been frozen rather than seized, but he actually released his claim. But they are still frozen as far as I know. He has $26M from Granite Capital currently frozen in Canada
Some brave men and woman being paraded here…
Can’t even begin to imagine what they have been put through
Nice clip, with the uncertainty of their situation, its good to see that they can still have a laugh.
If the tractors are back then Russia is fucked!
Polish authorities have scored a spectacular goal for Russian interests in the African sphere. Probably doesn’t mean much to them particularly but still, stupid fucks. The South African president and other African leaders are visiting Kiev and then going on to St Petersburg and Polish authorities have, for some reason, grounded the plane the media, and the presidents security detail apparently, are in and confined them to the aircraft as well so Ramaphosa is in Kiev sans the local media following. Seems that a Russian missile attack also occurred while these heads of state were there. Local media panicking and reporting this live could really have upped the ante to stop South Africa and other African countries kowtowing to Russia and Brics but now they’re on a plane in Warsaw getting cramps in their arses and queueing for the toilet.
Dumb fucks.

Not directly related to the war, but I heard today that since the start of this year, Virginia Woolf’s Orlando (a great book btw) is forbidden in Russia, alongside a host of other books, because of a new anti-LGBT law.
Stupid, stupid fuckers. Imbeciles.
Equally , it’s just as likely to have been banned in Florida , Texas etc.
‘Stupid, stupid fuckers. Imbeciles.’ Indeed.
What were they expecting those claiming that they experienced Russophobia and anti-Russian propaganda after the war started? That the rest of the world would pat them at the back?
I can understand the feeling and motivation of those saying that they they were against it but now that they are in it, they can’t afford to lose. It’s fundamentally wrong but understandable nevertheless. They need to realise that losing the war won’t be the catastrophe they are fearing. Supporting and indulging Putin’s dictatorial regime until the end will be though.
Disclaimer: I have no idea how sound this thread is, nor am I a military person nor do I understand the situation at hand.
Looks like it was a bit smaller than Beirut but still quite an explosion. 6 hours of explosions following the main, makes me think that the was a lot of eggs in that basket.

some close-quarters combat footage. don’t watch if you’re queasy. really does show how slow and difficult this progression of land liberation will take as the UA forces have to clear these trenches before advancing. 100 yards at a time. the Russians have had lots of time to dig in.
