Russian War Crimes (Part 2)

Do you always reply with a question on one’s place of residence? Which, in context, has nothing to do with the post? But, I guess I’m up at 3-4am Moscow time posting here…

It absolutely does have to to do with the post as you are clearly following the RT line which suggests that you are in a place where you are subject to Russian propaganda.

RT English? I don’t even watch it, but, everyone who doesn’t think like you is merely a subject of propaganda? Who’s following the “line” per se? Seems you are…

In comparison to what the Russians have, and in comparison to what Ukraine have had at disposal until now, the F16 still represent a huge improvement. The question will be how to protect them from missile strikes , but it’s not an impossible task by any means.

Hope the interest in what is happening here is not beginning to wane… This news channel seems to be keeping abreast of developments though

Reports this morning that a deal has been reached to release both Evan Gershkovich and Paul Whalen. No details yet on what is being given up to get them back.

Here’s the official RU list:

Vadim Krasikov, a former Russian intelligence officer arrested in Germany in 2019 and accused by Berlin of terminating Chechen terrorist Zelimkhan Khangoshvili on German soil.
️Ludwig Gisch and Maria Mayer, arrested in 2022 in Slovenia and accused of being deep-cover Russian intelligence operatives whose names (if Western media is to be believed) are Artem Dultsev and Anna Dultseva.
️Roman Seleznev, a Russian IT specialist who was accused by US authorities of being a hacker and of defrauding banks of millions of dollars.
Vladislav Klyushin, a Russian businessman who was arrested in Switzerland in 2021 and extradited to the US. The American authorities accused Klyushin of participating in “an elaborate hack-to-trade scheme that netted approximately $93 million through securities trades based on confidential corporate information stolen from U.S. computer networks,” as the US DoJ put it.
Vadim Konoshchenok, a Russian businessman who the US authorities claim has ties to Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB). In 2023 he was arrested in Estonia and extradited to the US to be tried on charges of smuggling dual-use technologies and ammunition from the United States to Russia.
Mikhail Mikushin, a Russian national who was arrested in Norway while posing as a Brazilian academic called Jose Assis Gaammaria. Norwegian authorities suspected him of being a Russian intelligence operative but Mikushin only admitted to using a false identity to gain employment at the University of Tromso.
Pavel Rubtsov, also known as Pablo Gonzalez Yague, is a Russian-Spanish journalist who was arrested in 2022 in Poland on suspicion of espionage.

And the yanks got two journalists and a tourist in return. Another victory for Putin.

Not in one where enough nationalist propaganda has been injected into my veins to believe Russia bombs NATO states while it is busy in a large scale war in Ukraine, because maintainance on Ukrainian jets will be done there (and it will). That is a Russian TV talking point, a talking point no one in the Russian elites actually believes themselves. I find it odd that it is so effective against some.

So Ukraine carried out what seems to be the most successful strike against a Russina military airfield so far in the war regarding effective damage, in a large drone strike against Rostov. Very large, heavy and extensive secondary explosions. There were fires burning there this morning, almost all over the base. Significant, note how the fire has spread from this thread due to the very large secondary explosions from ammunition and fuel depots. This base housed SU-34 tactical bombers. An unknown number, but a significant one. It’s one of the main strike bases for sorties into Ukraine.

Will not post very much in the coming days. But starting work on Wednesday, and from then on more

(I’ve had my girlfriend visiting most of the summer and I needed a break. Of course I could have posted, but some distance was nice after last season). I always return though :metal:

Minor salt needed, but only minor. Usually, these claims are true or at the very least partly accurate.

Analysts are already talking about the “Worst night for the Russian Armed Forces” so far during the war, but I don’t know about that myself as I think the humiliation of the retreat from Kyiv was probably a lot worse. But the worst night from Ukrainian bombing so far during the war? Absolutely looks like it !

Damage Assessment in the coming days is going to be rather fun, I think. We have an unknown number of SU-34, probably the damaged submarine, then an S-400 and the oil depots at Rostov.

I guess we can say that last night had a strong Rostov Theme:, with a near annihilated airfield (judging from fires) outside Rostov, the new oil depots outside Rostov and then the probably destruction of the Rostov-on-Don submarine being repaired at Sevatapol bay on Krim.

Note worthy and rare, so I am posting about it.

Oh, and Rostov na Donau is indeed destroyed, hit by 2 ATACAM missiles. 100 percent write off and it did indeed sink.

Probably the best one I have of secondary munitions detonating. There was one other, filmed by some Russian woman far away, that made her lose her footing when munitions went off, but I forgot to post it and it’s somewhere.
