Russian War Crimes (Part 2)

What’s your feeling on this? Do you think there’s an increasing shift towards giving up neutrality?

No, on the contrary, I think that people in general are more inclined than ever to keep it. Neutrality has served us well in the whole. Of course, you can never escape a dose of hypocrisy when you are neutral, and you’ll not please everyone by staying on that course. But for the vast majority of Swiss people, it’s clear that we need to remain neutral.

The problem however is always how you define neutrality. It’s not the same to be neutral within a war-torn Europe in the first part of the twentieth century, to be neutral during the cold war era, or to be neutral after the fall of the USSR.

And now, the word neutrality needs to be redefined once again. I for one agree with the economic sanctions being applied, as in this case, we have a clear big-scale aggression of one nation towards another. This can’t be tolerated in our age. However, looking forward, I don’t think that it means that we’ll move on from our neutrality status. It will merely be redefined in order to be adapted to the current new conditions.

Disturbing news from Russia. They no longer want to exchange these prisoners, but want to put them all before a court. I fear the worst.

Found this very interesting thread. Too much to post, pls click .

Doubt we’re going to see him again. The woman anchor was definitely trying to throw him off and all of the others looked like they were sucking on lemons. Pretty sure they were expecting to hear the usual ‘Satan go boom, West go bang’ rather than get a hefty dose of reality.

Poor, brave bastard.

I think UKR will have little recourse but to suspend prisoner exchanges entirely if that happens.

Also possible that he was doing what he was told to do, to lay the ground for a general mobilization.

Not surprising. They will likely ve exchanged for any Russians facing war crime charges plus some extra. Not likely to be executed I think.

They know exactly who he is and what view he has. Did you read the thread ? They have had him on the show several times and he is a famous and published journalist. He predicted defeat in Februar

I’m posting this here as a precaution because fake news from Russian Trollbots and Bloomberg, Visegrad24 among others, are on the way again.

Reports are circulating in the social media that the rules on sanctions against Russia are being relaxed and energy payments in rubles are to be possible. The BMWK is not aware of anything about this and to our knowledge all companies continue to pay in €/euro.

One question I can’t figure out, why is Ukraine exchanging prisoners when Russia refuses to declare war?

If there is no war, then surely anyone arrested would be a civilian matter, and Russia has no right to demand prisoner exchange as they are criminals, not soilders

Because they are getting good deals, basically. Some of those exchanges have been on very favourable terms, civilians plus more Ukrainian prisoners than they are releasing. For whatever reason, some classes of troops are desperately important for the Kremlin to arrange an exchange for, sometimes even named, so Ukraine has been able to get some very one-sided deals. Three Chechen car thieves for 5 soldiers and 25 civilians. etc.

well… maybe they’re finally starting to think about it.
