Signal is a great, non-centralised, fully end-to-end encrypted app for communication. The only issue with it - no one I know uses it, otherwise I’d bin Viber for good.

A good friend is dumping everything Meta and asked me to join Signal. I can appreciate her reasoning, but it’s a bit tricky.
I have a lot of friends and family all over the world who I keep in contact with on WhatsApp and FB messenger, it’s going to be difficult to keep in touch with them all if I switch completely.
I also don’t want to end up with ten different platforms.

Yeah, that’s the only reason why I still use Viber and FB Messenger. Literally everyone I know uses them (some people I know also use WhatsApp). WhatsApp is a serious privacy risk, as are Viber and FB Messenger, I wish I could replace them with Signal or something like that but people don’t care about it.

Majority of people in my parts of the world use it - it’s not as big as WhatsApp but it still has more than billion users.

On social media, there is a bit of a tussle, many airlines were flooding their advertising for cheap flights to USA, the comments are hilarious, eg: it is not April 1st yet, do you do flights to Canada and Mexico? Ask me in 5 years time, no thanks, I don’t want to spend my holiday in a detention centre.
However Europe is hitting back too, see Norway, Balaeric islands, Corfu, Greece, Turkey, Australia, New Zealand etc.
