I think people are voting for the Egyptian Toblerone out of spite
My main takeaway from this thread has been that all the structures nominated are actually a bit shite.
Seems like the most incredible buildings on the planet will win. All good.
If only Goodison had have been in the game. Still, why should the stadium when the team never is?
That is true from 1 side.
Look from the other side and it looks like a giant mound of trash. https://www.reddit.com/r/AlternateAngles/comments/bwi0s6/a_more_depressing_view_of_the_taj_mahal/
At least that view includes the frogs.
It is quite apt that the semi final pits 2 tombs against one another and 2 edifices where people gathered for what ever reason.
2 for me are wonderous, another is a magnificent example of probably the greast builders of all time and the last is beautiful from one side.
Taj is designed to be beautiful from all sides. The upkeep is not the building’s fault.
On the voting front…
Stonehenge putting up a spirited fightback… Of sorts!
Taj Mahal looks like a ‘Goner’ even at this stage… where is the wrecking ball
One could say the same and multiply it by 3000 for stonehenge. Some roman stuff by a 1000 times. Even their actual environment has changed dramatically.
I mean what did Dtonehenge actually look like back in it’s heyday?
Shah Jahan being buried by Pharaoh/Aliens
As drawn contemporaneously by @cynicaloldgit
So who took the other stones???
I did, after drawing that picture. They’re hidden in my garden.
They fell over and the wood rotted.
Maybe not, but it still has an effect on the impression it gives off
Yes, people are garbage. I totally agree
Based on this picture, the aliens were in the early stages of validating the domino effect
So the lesson is, people build great stuff and treat it like shit.
Well, some people build shit and treat it like shit. Old toilet as an example.
