The Arsenal Thread (Part 1)

He can always move to a highflying lower league (EFL League One equivalent or below) for a huge chance of it happening. :slightly_smiling_face:

The Cheaters job, when it becomes available, could well be between Arteta and Kompany. Arteta is likely to want to stay at the Arse until Pep ‘does one’. How he acts and what he says until that day arrives, is no more than lip-service at the moment, to ensure he clings onto the Arse job, even by his fingertips, to gain enough top flight managerial experience in his drive for success.

I think the cheats will eventually go in for Emery.

Arteta probably needs the PL win to have a chance.

Reminder that the FA Cup Arteta won in his first season he was in charge for two games in that campaign.

He was appointed on 20 Dec 19.
Their FA Cup 3rd round took place on 6th Jan.
Then 4th round on 27th Jan, followed by 5th round on 2nd Mar.
After the Cov19 pause, it’s 28th Jun, 18th July and 1st Aug for the Quarter, Semi and Final respectively.
That’s five games. Which two was he involved in?

Oh. For some reason I thought he came in before the semi final.

Havertz was Arsenal’s top scorer in the league with 9. That’s the first time Arsenal hasn’t had a double digit scorer since 1923-24.

Golden boy Saka 6 goals in 25 league games and he got 3 in 1 game.

But you see, without his injuries, they’d have won the league, so they’re champions, really.

It’s odd how all four will probably be remembered at their clubs unlike Man City which is just an extra number.

If it’s on the BBC, the move must be close to completion.

Hope he enjoys the race for second place next season. And the year after. And the year after…

Yup, all 4 trophies are major achievements for their respective clubs. Even though Newcastle are one of them, it’s refreshing to see City not stealing anyone else’s glory for a change. Well, apart from Man United’s Community Shield..

It’s a massive move for them, which means a genuine reinforcement of their midfield. Also an impressive statement of intent from their part.

And watching us win the league next season, and the year after and the year after.

They are buying someone they don’t explicitly need.

Is it? The way he keeps getting talked about last summer, I thought he was some hot 23-24 year old prospect. He’s 26 now.

I might be wrong, but I’m getting vibes of ten Hag basically bringing half the Ajax team over, with what Arsenal are doing with Sociedad.

Seriously lads? May I remind you that he was our top target last summer, and it only fell through because he decided to stay put for a further year? This is a really strong move, and will reinforce their strength in depth in midfield, it’s a certainty.

They have enough numbers there without needing to add another person.

It’s a good transfer for them. But not a needle mover.
