At what point does psr become an issue for them considering how much they spend and how little they bring in player sales?!
They are really going all in, aren’t they? Yeah I’d put them as favourites at the moment.
Its what Califiori was brought in to do.
Assume Zinchenko will be sold for peanuts.
Wouldn’t mind us hijacking this one. Get Flo and Jez on the dog and bone.
I noticed White was unexpectedly absent on the weekend. With his recent struggles and a history of issues with Timber and Califiori as well, I wonder if this move is in response to something new going on with White?
Regardless, I cannot even be mad at it. I am still highly skeptical of Gyokeres and think that has the potential to undermine the rest of the window, but I respect them going for it. They have lost a few players this summer but they were mostly bodies who were not good enough to provide much positive impact on games. So they raised no money from it, but a side expecting to compete needed to replace them. At least in terms of the areas they’ve targeted it has addressed what their weaknesses were. They have gone all in to do that and fair fucks to them.
I think its just an example of how the common narratives are often completely disconnected from what has actually happened. They are currently an Isak sized transfer ahead of us in net spend this summer and seemingly about to blow that gap even wider. Even if land Isak for a record fee and bring in Guehi they are still likely to be ahead of us.
On the BBC live text it said that Mr Here We Go had posted about Spurs going for Hincapie then 50 minutes later that Arsenal were interested - it’s just bullying at this point ![]()
I don’t even get this signing to be honest. Considering they have one striker (especially now Havertz is out) and yet seem to be overstocked in defenders.
I think a few player might have said to Arteta, that if they don’t win the PL this season, they will be ‘Offski’ - Guess the Arse are just stocking up in this window in case that happens
Saka out for 4 weeks according to bbc
A BBC would have him out for 24 weeks.

How? There is literally no pathway to the first team for him? Why would he come here?
Left sided CB that can cover for Virgil, and can cover left back if needed (assuming Tsimikas is leaving). I don’t see a blocked pathway as such. If he thinks he’s good enough to play at the highest level, then he shouldn’t be scared to give it a go. I look at the way City and Arsenal collect CBs and make use of them - then I look at our own ranks and we seem short there.
And another one but remember, Liverpool is buying the League. ![]()
Athletic had a piece this week about Arsenal’s difficulties raising money from sales and their approaching PSR issues as a result. I wonder if that is the reasons for the supposed structure of this deal, trying to offset the first real payment by one more year?
Can someone explain me why they need another CB?
Can someone explain me why they need another CB?
They’ve broken them all
Can someone explain me why they need another CB?
So that Arteta can finally field his dream of eleven CBs.
as the ‘new’ arsenal chant states…
‘we all dream of a team of salibas’
we obviously didnt mean it litterally though Miky
Can someone explain me why they need another CB?
So they can break the record for second place finishes and highest points total since lego man took charge.
legoman takes it to heart the adage that attack wins games, defense wins leagues.
Anyone actually have any serious answers to be honest. As I remember someone drafting their squad and cover and I am sure it was the area they seem stocked in.
They have been looking to move on Kiwior, who is agitating to leave to get more games. He has been their first choice replacement at CB, albeit possible because of injuries to their 3 FB/CB hybrids preventing them moving one of those guys into CB.
It makes a lot more sense for Arsenal than it does for Hincape
