Tonight, it was reverse.
In last weeks, Ngumoha got the advantage on the left for Barcola and Gakpo, but tonight he started and was mostly on the right. And had some decent little individual actions in the first half. He doesn’t need to hug the touchline if he plays on the right, he showed for England that he can attack with variety even on that side.
Then, he failed to get past Udogie a few times in the second half, Iraola switched sides with him and Gakpo and then again put Ngumoha on the right after when Robbo came on.
Surely you saw that second goal against Ipswich? That was top quality.
Yes he has to do it more, but it´s much better than his first two games of the season.
As I have said he has flashes of brilliance however no real presence or reading of the game. How he reacts to crosses is pathetic.
We don’t need a flash in the pan we need to exert pressure.
I know most are happy with a flash in the pan. I’m just pointing out we need something more consistent.
I agree but consistency isnt like a switch that comes from off to on immediately. He´s showing more each game and that´s how he is building that consistency.
He has scored a few different types of goals too. I think he´s improving and if he keeps going, he´ll be fine for us.
Flobs and Liverdinner having a row

It’s great that Iraola wants wings players to be comfortable playing both sides…
But he cant do it all the time to the detriment of players and team… because not all our wings can do it effectively…
We need each player at their best. Maximizing their talents.
I always envisioned it more like

I didn´t even know we were having a row
Thought it was a good chat!
I’m not that supple however I love those hip wiggles
.
I think there are a number of questions that need to be answered and it is not clear where the answer is.
If others, particularly Barcola and Munoz settle… will Isak start to perform consistently?
If Koumas starts at CF (not my recommendation), will it be better than an ineffective Isak?
If Wirtz is benched for Szob … will our midfield problems be solved which will then allow our attack to thrive.
We’ve got some top players right now… just no team.
I don’t think he’s that type of player, from what I’ve seen, I think he pulls things out of the bag. When he pulls whatever it is out of the bag it’s fantastic. He can and will score great goals for us. If that will be enough is the question. If it is all will be fine.
If he loses form for a while then hopefully we’ll have Ekitiké to come in.
Isak could end up with one of the best highlight reels ever made.
Think this is the beast thread for this. Interesting article about Liverpool’s attack. We are controlling matches but not scoring against the low block, and statistically very mediocre when it comes to creating big chances and xG. That’s not news…more of the same really.
