I think there is an element of politics at play with the coverage of Milton.
US election coming up in4 weeks, and 1 candidate has come out and accused their rival of diverting emergency relief funds from the last hurricane to serve a political agenda, only to be followed up by one of his crazy ass lap dogs coming out to accuse the current leadership of controlling the weather and manufacturing the storm, so almost any story in the US at this point in time has a fairly major effect on the rest of the world.

If we try that, can we ‘forget’ to switch Trump back on?

The war in the Middle East, and its corollary, has global consequences.
Hurricane Milton is a local event.
Again, if the Beeb were using the hurricane to make a wider point on climate change, I would understand. But they aren’t.

I already have , and it won’t be going back on again until Israel stops the slaughter , and not at least for the next four years if Trump is re-elected. And I’m not even joking.
