One of the weirdest thing about the Lab Leak discourse is the insistence that even suggesting it was shut down by powerful people and we were not allowed to talk about it.
This isnt easy to see the details of, but this is an analysis of the amount of media coverage on the origin of the outbreak, with bars to the right being pro lab leak in the coverage. Even if you ignore podcast and influencer content and focus only on mainstream media, talking about lab leak as a possibility, or even likelihood, has never been out of vogue. It has received incredibly disproportionate coverage to the amount (essentially zero) evidence for it.
