I don’t think there will be enough. I feel it’s been worn thin. We’re in a situation where the 2 portrayed as devil’s are the most likely to get to the second tour.
Even the west of France is turning toward Le Pen which 10 years ago would have been shocking.

I work in education, funding has been cut to the bone in this country as well as France. Teachers, support staff are exhausted and depressed and it is not even been half term yet. We hardly have funding for books and our equipment is broken and cupboard doors falling off.
These students don’t riot without reason. France’s govt are in dire straits right now and as Flobsrightly said, they do not know to fix this major problem.
I think the British youth have different societal problems. Our schools seem concentrate on the bright kids and academia, kids need social skills for the world outside, not everyone of them are not suited for universities, they need to learn a skill, maybe via apprenticeship and also given the opportunity to be given a job even if they don’t have experience. How else are they going to get work experience?
Funding is a massive problem in France. The regions are responsible for upkeep etc. The government pays the wages of the teachers.
A massive problem is that the governments budget also pays the pensions of past teachers. Pensions are for some reason most of the budget from what I hear.
Some regions haven’t the funds for their obligations and education is always an easy target for cuts. Noone except some parents and idealists cares about education.
My fear is Reform UK will exploit what is happening in France and use France’s sad situation to further divide ethnic minorities communities even further

It is hard for me to not point out the obvious, with the current protests in France and Spain. In that all is not well in the EU. I genuinely don’t take enjoyment out of that, I just wish that people observe what is happening and reflect.
It should not matter what Reform/Labour/Tories say. It is a situation happening in France, irrelevant of our situation. It is not nice to see but at the same time should not be ignored. This and the protests in Spain about housing have nothing to do with our politics.
Everyone is entitled to form their own opinion, I just find it strange that we berate the UK, clamour to rejoin the EU and yet we fail to understand the shit show that is happening on the continent of Europe.
Probably setting myself up for a 24hr ban but I find it a bit hypocritical you trying to pull someone up on assumptions and accusing them of attacking you, smears, etc, when that is all you ever do.
Live by your word, set an example, accept that someone may be providing a more honest and fuller explanation, just don’t be so ignorant to believe that this person is you!

Anyway, this is going on now. Not a lot about it in the media, but Bulgaria and Romania have nowr regular strikes from Russia. Moldova far more (Moldovans even targeted and killed), but they are not in the EU.

Seems to me that the war in Ukraine and the Russian threat, is still not the most important media case in Europe. I wonder what it will take for people to fucking wake up. Perhaps a tactical nuclear weapon needs to be deployed, or Warzava razed to the ground.
The reason this was discovered is actually much weirder and involves the very public case of Christina Block - that’s a whole movie in itself that included hiring people to kidnap her own children from her ex-husband. This also involves the ex-BND guy and they found the spy stuff while investigating this other case/ searching his house.
According to the investigating media (Süddeutsche Zeitung, WDR, NDR), the foreign agency involved was not Russia. Don’t know if that’s true or which other agency it was.
