The Great TANdabidozi Pub Quiz

The answer was Midnight Cowboy.

“Ostensibly linked” to Butch Cassidy due to cowboy in the title :joy:

Dustin Hoffman was nominated for The Graduate two years previously, while Jon Voight (father of Angelina Jolie) was nominated three years later for Deliverance.

Happy for someone else to do the next one.

Aren’t the academy awards early in the year for films released in the previous year? I think it was the awards held in 1970 for the films from 1969? There’s some cut-off by when films need to have been released in order to be nominated isn’t there?

Back to the footy and our rivalry between us and the red lot the wrong way down the M62. Jamie Carragher infamously scored not one but two (!) own goals in an ill fated game against United. Who though, was the ill fated goalkeeper to allow such shame to come to pass?

I remember the own goals but the keeper??

Westerveld?

I feel like it’s going to be earlier, though. Westerveld joined in 99, didn’t he?

Didn’t take long. Seems like we all know our football around here. To be expected, lol.

Westerveld it was indeed.
