Some are justifying it because Mercedes built certain German equipment thingies in WW2.
Jesus Christ.
That escalated quickly.
When youâve had Ten Haag and now Amorim you quickly develop an expertise in mental gymnastics
Even if there is truth in the rumours, it could be non-starter if the buyers turn out to be the PIF.
Also, it is not clear if a Saudi purchase of Manchester United could get through the Premier Leagueâs Owners and Directorsâ test.
Sheikh Jassimâs attempt to buy the club never advanced far enough for the league to have to rule on it. However, as there was no competing Qatari owner, it could not have been ruled out on conflict of interest grounds.
That is not the case with Saudi Arabia, whose Public Investment Fund (PIF) has run Newcastle since 2021.
While the Saudi Pro-League has four clubs, Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, Al-Ittihad, and Al-Ahli, that are run by PIF, it seems unlikely the Premier League would be willing to sanction multiple ownership by the same ultimate source, even if the individuals in charge of them were different.
There were rumours at the start of the summer that PIF were considering selling Newcastle.
When the Glazers and FSG put Man Utd and ourselves on the market, those within the Saudi Government were talking about encouraging private investors to look at the both of us, possibly investing in both clubs at the same time.
It wouldnât surprise me if Newcastle were sold in the future, and the Saudis considered something with either Man Utd or us. Henry did have talks with PIF about a golf venture (although there were other investors involved), and then there was the rumour of Edwards being looked at by the Pro League.
I think although the possibility of building up a club i.e. City is massively appealing from a sportswashing point of view, the prospect of owning one of the jewels in football could probably achieve their sportswashing objectives just as well, as every transfer would be tied in âSaudi richesâ and itâd be almost like an ego trip for them to be able to say they own Man Utd/Liverpool.
Of course the deal would go throughâŚ
Or the Saudis would never buy weapons from the UK government again!
Meanwhile Radcliffe is flirting with Reform⌠the whole club is horrible.
They did take a point at Anfield last season and were a scuffed Zirkzee (I think?) finish from taking all three.

You take umbrage with me because I tell the truth!
I cannot argue with that.
Why wouldnt he, he was a vocal supporter of Brexit and probably aligns strongly with their more thatcherite tendencies.

Because heâs a cunt and they are cunts so attraction is obvious but he is also desperate for his stadium.
Reform Jim should be consistent and only play English players. Maguire. Mainoo. Shaw. Mount. Thereâs the core. Now build around it with more stout Englishmen.
Speaking of which, although Amorim is doing a great job as far as Iâm concerned, he should go too, to make way for Rooney.
Donât forget the ethnonationalists among the Reform base who wonât even accept Mainoo as being English.
The same ones whoâd take mock offence at being labelled âracistâ?
Yep. Apparently the same ones who say theyâre not far right, just right. Nutters.
Anyhow, the Saudi oracle has spouted his latest stuff.
So he is a fan who wants someone to takeoverâŚNotice how it says investor.
Arenât they on the stock exchange?
