Heh? Don’t see how ManUtd can go down this season - they’ve probably already got enough points to stay up.

Maybe someone else knows better but I was under the impression that the Championship has stricter spending rules so they’re pretty screwed if either of them drop in…

Rules are simple, brown envelopes passed to the relevant people and the stricter spending rules no longer apply.

Be strange when city are in the northern league and they have a transfer budget of ÂŁ250 million plus compared to the usual set up of swapping players for pork pies and a packet of crisps .

Edit wont apply to united as they have sacked all canteen staff.

ManU supporters were chanting for the Glazers to go. Arsenal supporters were chanting for the Glazers to stay.

Just couldn’t keep his tax-dodging gob shut after yesterday’s protests, could he.

Tell me Jim, does a bear shit in the woods?

As if your work wasn’t hard enough trying to shift those players, on those wages. Way to shoot yourself in the foot.

I saw the “…And Fuck off home” bit yesterday but wasn’t sure who it was addressing.

Could be anybody at United

These guys collectively have probably 4-500 CL appearances among them. This framing is ridiculous

Maybe should have spend money on a PR consultant rather than a body language analyst.

“No one suggested that”

Yeah I can see the problem.

This is hilarious - I absolutely love the bit where Sir Rat declares that they must keep Rat boy:

"There are some great players in the squad as we know, the captain is a fabulous footballer. We definitely need Bruno [Fernandes] – he’s a fantastic footballer.”

They are on the road to nowhere with that attitude. Long may it continue. Long live Sir Rat!

If you are going to (rightfully) criticise the current wage to performance balance under the previous ownership group, shouldn’t you at least be demonstrating tangible improvements under your own watch?

They just signed about 6 players for over ÂŁ100k/week a piece, with some of them teenagers. De Ligt is on ÂŁ195k/wk which is only just south of Virg who is our second highest paid player.

If you are going to charge the tea lady the cost of her tea bag, then you better be tightening up on every other area of the club. And that’s not happening.

He’s doing to Manchester United what Elon Musk is doing to America. I’ve always said that billionaires are stunningly unimaginative people who have only one idea how to save money - get rid of poor people.

This Ratcliffe is another who is (or at least was) considered a genius in some parts yet he freely admits that he lacks the imagination to think of a way to raise ÂŁ40k and is relying on people telling him what to do. Its both stark and instructive to watch Musk and Ratcliffe work. They think the same way, they act the same way, they lack imagination or independence of thought, they just do the shit performatively cutting miniscule parts of a budget while failing to identify the real issue and not giving a single fuck about who gets hurt by it.
