But the Israeli government is not starving civilians and definitely not committing any war crimes.

Crunch time - ICJ just ordered a stop to the Rafah operation.

Will likely result in the same as this:

(But it makes it more uncomfortable for those who support Israel’s operation, so it is something).

Israel has already stated that it will disregard any such order. It is crunch time in other capitals though.

Spain manoeuvring to answer awkward questions about Catalonia.

Israeli war cabinet minister Benny Gantz said Israel would continue its “just and necessary” war against Hamas to return its hostages and ensure its security after the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered it to halt its operation in Rafah.

Meanwhile…

Yeah , the US is just going to screw that over.

Goes back to what I was saying. The UNSC being a self serving cabal.

US has no moral right to stand for Ukraine in that Ukraine - Russian war when it’s abetting a genocide in Gaza.

I guess you could turn that around though. Lots of countries have stayed neutral for their own interests, refusing to take any action against Russia - yet are quite happy to condemn Israel.

Yes, there’s hypocrisy everywhere.

Yep. It’s very true , the hypocrisy of the other countries.

It’s just that US has allowed Israel or has enabled Israel to come to a position where they’ve cornered Gaza citizens into a tight corridor. Russia atleast has allowed Ukraninan citizens to be evacuated. Where’s the escape for the populace of Gaza ?

Do you remember Bucha and Mariupol?

Its actually that all States are hypocrites, they all play us in their power game. Im quite sure there would not be 10th of the trouble in earth if we could just find a way to organise ourselves better. Probably 250yrs away, if we make it.

Choose your enemy, or not at all? Mine are States, all of the lying manipulating bastards, bar probably Bhutan.

That was carnage. No two words about that. However , Russia (despite how detestable they are did give quite a bit of time for citizens there to be evacuated.

Look at Gaza now.

I dont think there is anything to differentiate in outcome. But in moral terms, not legal, you could argue Russia’s actions were worse. They had not been subject to atrocity as a precursor - and we all know Israel have gone too far - but they got a huge kick up the arse to do it - Russia however did both those cold as ice.

As well, Russia broke the normative against using barbery which is now out the bag.

Israel backed up 2 million people forcing then literally to the sea. I don’t want to go into who’s actions were worse but holding a 2 million population in hostage , depriving them of food… and then forcing them into areas where they’ve got nothing to live for.

I just don’t know.

A lot of Ukranians could move to other parts of Ukraine or even emigrate out. Where are the people of Gaza going ?

seriously, what the fuck?

Also worth noting that Russian state television as well as Putin personally has insisted that there is no such think as a Ukrainian, Ukraine is just a historical lie.
