The Middle East Thread

Well that’s one way to blow up ceasefire negotiations.

So we have seen Israel’s ability to target certain individuals whilst minimizing mass casulties, yet as soon as it comes to Palestine, they need to raze and demolish an entire city block looking for 1 individual. Can someone explain to me how that makes any sense?

It doesn’t make any sense, apart from causing as much suffering and carnage as possible among the Palestinian population, and carrying on with their genocidal project of colonizing Gaza and the West Bank.

I just saw the news, they bombed Doha and Tunisa.
They just to get away with murder and mayhem without any international sanctions whatsoever. Israhell is most dangerous and least accountable nation on earth.
There is no humanity left now.

De link USA from this and watch Israel scrambling for a ceasefire.

They won’t. The US wants this. I remember someone mentioned that Israel is the US’s controlling presence in the Middle East. The US never does anything that doesn’t serve their own purpose. Israel is their version of the East India Company

Wow, okay. No doubts whatsoever about what they are doing. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck…

Unless there was an agreed truce, I am not seeing the war crime. I am far more troubled by the violation of Qatari sovereignty than the death of some Hamas leadership, I see no particular reason why their death is more troublesome than the death of Gazan civilians, and quite a few reasons why it is less so.

I’m not entirely sure about that, because I don’t see how committing a genocide against the Palestinians somehow serves US interests. Yes, they use Israel as their mainstay base in the Middle East, and their interest is that Israel remains a dominant force there, but what happens now only weakens Israel’s position in the long-term, in regards to their neighbouring countries.

Their political and diplomatic credit must be around zero right now, and thus the US’ credit must be plumetting at the same rate. That can’t be in the interest of the US. Even the MAGA idiots should be able to understand this. But maybe I give them too much credit? :see_no_evil_monkey:

Qatar is known as a safe haven for a lot of prescribed terrorist outfits. The US government in the past has encouraged Qatar on this so as to keep the diplomatic channels open with the likes of Hamas. This leads Qatar to have a significant voice in the region , one far more than the size of the country would indicate.

Surprised Israel took this long to launch an attack at Hamas. This attack wouldn’t have happened without the tacit backing of USA.

Agree with Arminius that violating the sovereignty of Qatar does pose greater threats. Qatar isn’t an impoverished country like Lebanon / Syria.

The Christian Zionist faction of the MAGA lot want Gaza cleared because to them that’s a necessary precursor to the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

They really believe that.

But I guess US and UK officials will say that the UN is anti-semetic so they can carry on supporting Israel

Of course they’ll say that, and they’ll also say that the UN directly supports Hamas etc. etc.

But it’s good to see the truth coming more and more to the fore, in a way which can be less and less questioned by anyone, unless the one is of bad faith of course .

Israel has launched its long-threatened ground offensive into the densely packed streets of Gaza City, military officials have confirmed.
