The misfiring rocket could have hit something that’s flammable.

Haven’t found any links to the UAV footage online, so I have only seen it once - but that now seems at least possible. The initial blast doesn’t even appear to hit the hospital building, the strike appears to land in an adjacent parking lot, producing an initial explosion and then a much larger secondary blast. That secondary blast is what damages a very large section of the hospital building.

I’m going to refrain from commenting on the horrific hospital incident.

Either it’s a deliberate attack by Israeli or it’s a misfiring missile by Hamas fighters which somehow caused an explosion.

The main regret has to be the loss of life.

It could have been a tunnel there where Hamas stored their munitions.

I saw one video of the footage, can’t find it anymore. It was the one with 2 explosions. Not sure if that was the hospital hit today or the previous one.

This.

That’s totally uncalled for to cherry-pick @Sithbare quote.

The horrible explosions and aftermath, not 100% sure if this is todays one. You can hear the 2 explosions. It’s harder to see it due to the camera moving, but you can see two smoke clouds. Once again doesn’t prove anything on either side.

It’s from about 9 secs in.

Doesn’t change the fact that Israel is committing war crimes

That’s not cherry picking it’s misquoting.

Fwiw , I think this was an attack by Hamas or their allied jihadi groups. The optics around this (impending Biden visit) etc etc are clearly too big an opportunity for Hamas to not score brownie points and paint themselves as victims by sacrificing the lives in the hospital. They have shown callous disregard for the lives before.

Israel is less likely to do that because the Biden visit of solidarity is important to them.

Speaking about Just this attack on the hospital.

Whilst it’s certainly true that Hamas have shown flagrant disregard for Palestinian lives in the past, surely deliberately bombing one of their own hospitals would mean they lose goodwill from their own civilians, as well as the entire wider world.

It is possible that the strike was an accident from Hamas, but it still remains odds-on that the Israelis were the perpetrators.

If it wasn’t IDF, the noise from them would be much louder.

The IDF has said there were none of their missiles in that area during the time of the attack.

I don’t quite think that they would be that dumb to plan a hit of that magnitude especially when a world leader like Biden is visiting at a time like this.

They could very easily be that arrogant, though.

Israel is committing war crimes. It’s not rocket science to think they would choose to also add to their rap sheet this way.

Everyone will believe what fits their existing position.

Even if proof is provided to the contrary, sadly.

Hamas has fired around 7,000 rockets at Israel - low tech rockets, statistically some should fail and hit gaza. it always happens.

If people don’t believe the IDF there is also independent people doing their own analysis, like this one :

There is no way the IDF would deliberately do this - and if it was them they would have taken responsibility over it as they did in the past.

Its also shocking to see arab leaders who didn’t condemned israelis being massacred, raped and kidnapped now so shocked by this “war crime”.

“No, we are not targeting civilians but yes, we deliberately destroyed a hospital”

Nah; don’t think so.
