I wonder if this ignorant coward would say the same thing if he knew that 6-7% of the Palestinian population is Christian.

He probably knows. He’s depending on his audience either not knowing or caring.

He probably doesn’t, but doesn’t care either way.

Yes, as I say, airburst seems like a reasonable possibility, but the directional blast is really puzzling.

Yes, I agree with that. I very much doubt either side deliberately targeted the hospital, regardless of munition type. But both sides are quite content to be using immensely destructive ordnance in the midst of a densely populated area.

That’s who I referenced the other day. This is a pretty good and quick interview with him on PBS about his decision and rationale for it
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/ex-state-department-official-explains-resigning-over/id78304589?i=1000631940170

There is one particularly sharp point where he seems to imply that sending weapons to Israel should violate laws they have on doing so to regimes that violate laws with the weapons. He suggests there is a process in place to investigate these regimes and when it comes to Israel everything just gets conveniently ignored. The interviewer picks up the implication and presses him, to give him an out, a way to say “oh no, I didnt mean that.” He sees it coming and immediately doubles down on his comment clarifying that is exactly what he means, before she can even finish her question.

Let’s be quite honest here, Hamas to blame for hospital, should never put your rockets between hospital/civilians and target. It’s what they have done for years to good effect, not sure why anyone is surprised that it will cause friendly deaths. It seems that lots of people that are extreme pro Hamas and extreme anti Israeli, are desperate for the initial Hamas stance to be true.

As far as newspapers dependant analysis, the conclusion removes the egg on their face with regard to immediately believing Hamas, and helping their intentional click bait headlines.

Prince Turki, a careful, thoughtful ex-diplomat and spy chief,

There’s no indication of that, not even from IDF or US military sources.

That they don’t put rockets near or between civilians and targets (Israel)? I must have been confused about the past 20 years of the conflicts.

Let’s be quite honest here, I despise human rights abuses of any kind, no matter whether they’re done by the Israeli right wing or the Hamas terrorists.

It seems that there a few people here that are extreme pro-Israeli and extreme anti-Gaza (not even Hamas) who are desperate to swallow the IDF line.

I find it quite interesting by the way that you’re using the phrasing “pro Gaza” rather than “pro Hamas”, are you suggesting that all Gaza strip residents are supporters of Hamas and therefore deserve no sympathy?

I think @Iftikhar is probably referring to this specific incident, unless I’m much mistaken.

I’m talking about that specific incident, as @redalways has already mentioned.

I noticed this on Twitter. It does seem a bit heavy handed if it was intended as a humanitarian message. Possibly the stewards misunderstood “fallen” as relating to the military?

Yeah not great and is in contrast with a pro Gaza sign being prominently displayed.

Happy that some of the aid trucks are being let in. Hoping that nothing stupid happens like obvious transportation to the evacuation zone. I think from the Israeli pov this is a test to see if aid goes to proper people, so if all goes well then we should see more trucks go in.

Not a good show for the club. If one banner is allowed , so should the other
