Some good stuff there, especially the Saints. Weird that he chose Kanye at all, and especially as the one record he’d take above all the others.
He’s aged well though, much more likeable now than 30 years ago.
If I had dinner with Dylan I’d expect him to pay.
I’ve been seeing a lot of nicely turned out, well to do women in their 50’s playing Kid Rock on the jukebox lately.
‘That’s a strange demographic to spark a renaissance in the absolutely-fucking-terrible 90’s nu-metal/rap-rock scene…’, I thought to myself.
Then I realised they’re all MAGA cunts and they’ll swallow any shite fed to them and call it caviar - even Kid fucking Rock. There’s no way these women would’ve tolerated let alone enjoyed Kid Rock’s magnum opus, Bawitdaba, a short decade ago, and now he’s The Greatest Artist of All Time - because The Party has said so.
Bawitdaba, da-bang, da-bang, diggy-diggy-diggy
Said the boogie, said up drop the boogie, get ready
My name is Kid…
Kid Rock!
I think we can all relate to those words.
Great art needs no justification and no explanation.
Snoop can go fuck himself, as well.
I’ll give it a whirl. Just cued up episode one and will have it on in the car tomorrow morning. Cheers.
Havent listened to the bad brains for ages - thanks a lot, you’re the hero of the day !!
I’m rocking on to one of the great protest songs
Tin Soldiers and Nixons coming……four dead in Ohio
Just went past Emptyhad on my way back to London. Was at Manchester last night to see Revocation, Shadow of Intent, and Catrle Decapitation (London show was sold out).
Love Sabbath, love Ozzy, can’t stand Sharon, but this final Sabbath gig in Birmingham has me nervous for the Ozzman. Iommi will smash it though.
Shame Plant or Priest are not on the bill.
Given their Sabbath covers, I’m more surprised Megadeth aren’t there.
At this point, KK’s Priest is more Priest than Judas Priese. Saw them both last year. Ripper is much closer to prime Halford than Rob now unfortunately. And Tipton doesn’t play full time with the band any more.
Plant/Led Zep would be out of place as this is a celebration for Sabbath and actual heavy metal. You can’t have a band older than them in their own retirement party!
Good point forgot about KK on the bill.
I don’t mind Ripper and the band but the last 2 JP albums are much better than KK in my opinion. Richie is a beast.
Anyway still nervous for Ozzy.
I know. He’ll do his own stuff plus Sabbath. That’s a lot for one show
Quality player! Bro had a heart attack while playing on stage and kept on playing!!
Metal as Fuck!!
No arguments there. Surprisingly good and unmistakably Priest. Problem is that Rob has to nurse his voice through the setlist at his age.
