Re: Leonard Cohen
Marianne Faithfull once said… “You could hear the women’s knicker elastic snapping as soon as Leonard walked into a room… and this was a room that contained Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Bob Dylan…”
WOW! Some compliment that…
That is surely the greatest quote of the modern era?
Love the guitar and her voice together and then the guitar stops and she hauntingly sings, “A hundred floors above me in the tower of song.”
Being a Leonard Cohen fan you may already know of this concert… If not ENJOY!

You know you listen to too much metal when you can’t speak a word of Norwegian, yet you know what the name of the band means… The instrumental part is right up my alley but lyrically, we share the opposite views, I knew it was too good to be true. I wonder if they are influenced by Arcturus, I can definitely hear a bit of Emperor there. By the way, I looked them up on Metal Archives, I don’t know if your friend is aware but they are getting very good reviews there, and rightly so. Why all the good extreme bands write Satanic and/or gory lyrics, though?! insert sad metalhead meme
I always thought it was a parody on the end of the world?
Hah, to be bluntly serious, some of these bands did it to rile up their seniors, some of them to get the kids rioting, others to make fun of everything, some to gain more fame and boost the record sales by constantly being in the press because of “obscene” lyrical content… And others really believed what they were singing about. I can listen to some really goofy and frivolous lyrics, though, but as much as I know that the likes of Cannibal Corpse were joking, I really can’t get into their music because of “topics” they cover.
Thanks mate, its been a barrier for me for years, especially that accentuated demonic singing. Didnt realise there was conventional material as well; I do like Tool, but they are not quite in the genre.

These were the days eh boys… Anyone still remember them…!
Thanks for posting, find it a bit ordinary meh tbh, although I like the guitar tones. Seem a little like Idles, and I dont rate them very much either.
