What is it with young boys and dinosaurs?
I remember my son dinosaurs everywhere, in the bath, bed, at the table, watching telly …
Anyway in my defense I loved the time when my kids where young and have remained a bit childish. Also Julian Doré is a great artist who grasps the limitations of the French language yet uses that to great effect (you grandson will wish he is French if he continues, Lol). Julian was one of those talent show winners the producers just couldn’t curb the enthusiam for him. These shows did some good in France (the music business is just soo stuck up and these shows threw out some great artists who challeged the statu quo). What For (destroyed by having to sing translated songs from english which wqas very confusing) and of course the great Alizée (very French, naive young girl doing sexy things).
So he can progress with his French studies here’s an Italian who sings well (with some nice pictures of my region).

… and I can not leave without posting a song from the 1st French artist I thought wow he’s good.

Good Videos Flobs

My little lad was mad for dinosaurs also…
The only time he would stop playing about with them was to watch… PINGU

Both kept him entertained for hours!

I had a son and daughter just 1 year apart, whilst she watched Teletubbies my son played dinsosaures. Then The Land Before Time came out and the disputes started for the tele.

Just been going over some Kate Bush albums, it’s so easy to forget how good some artists are. This one from Kate is just fantastic, transcending beautiful (N.B it was Prologue I wished to post but found this youtube post that includes Prelude it really is well done and I couldn’t overlook it):

Canned Heat also covered this number by Tommy Johnson:

And, sometimes a cover version is so very much better than the original:

Most cover versions are direct copies / rip offs of the original. They work best when the artist takes them and turns them on their head.
My vote for best cover version would probably be this one -

It’s certainly one of the best covers, but I would have to vote for Hendrix “Hey Joe” as the very best.

Would someone please offer me a link of the song Gone away, far away? I just remember this line and that tune in my head. YouTube gave me all the wrong options.

Who sang it and what’s the title? :innocent:
