Quite the tight combo here … (wish I’d been there in person).

How often do you hear “Bill and coo” in a song’s lyrics? Not bloody often. Last time was about 50 years ago. Happy birthday to me.
Happy Birthday
Another Roxy Music track - think this is a very under-rated song.
We have all been driving along and a particular song takes us back to long ago and far away.
Came across these two gems…

Tupac would’ve turned 50 today. Great artist but also ahead of his time as a personality.
My favourite lyricist in the world of Rap/Hip Hop,Tupac truely knew how to tell a story through music,i just realised that the mad part about him being 50 years old is that he’s been dead for 25 of them now,sad loss but how times flies.
On another note,im not a religious person but do love the sound of gospel choirs,i just heard this new song by JP Cooper (the accoustic version is cool too),quite a catchy song, still suprised he’s not got the recogniton he deserves in the music world with a voice like this.
Ten years since Clarence Clemons died. One of the great Rock and Roll Saxophonists. He recorded and played with many artists - Springsteen, Aretha Franklin, Lady Gaga… An inspiring musician.
Today I would like to talk about Primal Scream’s 1989 album Primal Scream.
Now mention Primal Scream and it’s usually Screamadelica that comes to mind. Sure I’ve listened to that album. I’ve danced to Movin’ on Up in clubs more times than I can remember. I’ve been to see them live.
But until today I’ve never listened to Primal Scream from start to finish and I may be a bit drunk, but I would just like to say that it’s a damn fine album.
To be critical it doesn’t flow as well as it could, but there’s 9 out of 10 absolutely solid tracks on there, and I don’t know that I’ve ever seen it get any recognition compared to lesser albums of it’s ilk.
IMO Nas in the very beginning of his career is the only rapper who ever came close to having the same amount of talent as both he and Biggie had, such a shame both were taken so needlessly at such young ages.
This is so lovely😊, it reminds me of those classic French films and you are sittiing in French Cafe with a Cafe au lait and a French pastry watching the world go by
Haha, who can resist a Nas vid featuring Lauren Hill? My boy agrees with you but thinks Nas was better than either Tupac or Biggie. To me Biggie is ear candy, irresistible. All those beefs; I’ll just never get mixing music and violence. Tragic.
When you’ve been down the pub, watched the match, come back home, had a few more beers, (won’t say what I did with the other half), then logged into TAN and seen the same the old fuckwits posting the same old shit…
Have a good night, everyone except the fuckwits.
It is quite French A couple more that you might enjoy

I had forgotten just how bloody good this song is.
Agree - Not Bowies finest hour, in any sense.
This is like a cross between Patti Smith, The Killers, Blondie and Springsteen.
Love her work.
I would say in favour of Nas that Illmatic to this day is still the greatest rap album ever released and what’s incredible about that is he started writing it when he was 16 and released it at 21, it’s pretty rare for an artist to have released a timeless album at such a young age.
This is my favourite track from that album, but honestly any of them would be worthy of posting here. From start to finish it’s exceptional.
