My billionaire is better than your billionaire.
This thread in now likeā¦.
Mother Teresa once had a bad thoughtā¦.
Itās still poorly written, but they used the correct āthereā.
Itās not ātheir (FSGās) hintsā, itās āthere [being] hintsā.
Context clues?
On Ballmer, he worked for Microsoft so it comes with the territory that he would downplay iPhone. I wouldnāt read anything into that.
Everyone makes bad calls, but the context here is that we are critiquing the business judgment of a fella who has made $80 Billion or so.
Ballmer, Ambaniā¦ donāt mind either one, on proviso that they let the experts run the show, are not stingy with investing into the club and the needs we have, and then use their business acumen to grow the club in the areas they can.
It will be interesting to see what happens. Might be one of them, might be someone else again.
As for FSG vetting potential suitors, that makes sense as they seek a good match with LFC, but there is a slight concern in that. We are a global club with a global fan base, and it may or may not follow that what FSG know best, presumably fellow Americans, will be the best fit.
Still, itās a minor quibble.
Donāt want a human rights abuser.
Do want someone who will stick their hand in their pocket to give us catalyst moments within whatever financial structure remains in place in the game.
Do want them to use their business acumen to grow the club in the spheres they influence.
Do want someone humble, so they donāt feel the need to be more hands on than they should, but instead will resource and then trust the professionals at all levels to do their job.
If they want to sell the club theyāll sell to the highest bidder.
This quote owns the day, nailed onā¦
Fucking brilliant @RedOverTheWater
Makes ya think they may be holding onto some LFC stock if they choosy about the buyer
I think at the very minimum, this saga is going to continue till end of world cup anyway. That is when interest in football will be at an all time high, all over the world. FSG could have planned this for some time, or at least had it in mind to do so.
Weāre also probably hearing the most uncontroversial names right now, but there are surely more names not being mentioned but who have a strong interest.
Yeah I have felt that for a few days now.
Guess we see. I can see them selling a majority stake, but they will remain involved in some format I reckon.
FSG to all potential biddersā¦
The one where the ran away like a bomb had gone off
What a choice. Thereās no āgoodā billionaire in my opinion. To hoard that much wealth while a third of the planet lives in poverty is obscene and unconscionable. Such a sad state of affairs that for our beloved club to compete at the top we have to consider which type of sociopath weād prefer
But Ambanis not Sikh
Currently we are.
Itās just strange that it seems that all we need for a new owner is that they must put money up for new players. No regards for commercial structures, whether they have competent people in place to run the club, whether they are going to invest in the club infrastructure, or the community etc.
those other things are in place and ticking along well.
pretty sure ive seen a few comments suggesting so long as they keep everything as it is, and inject a bit more capitalā¦
Sometimes as the conventional saying goesā¦one bird in hand is better than 2 in the bushesā¦sure someone can come in and give you 200mil every season to spend on new players but then destroys all the other good work that FSG and previous teams had done.
