The Self Defeating Entertaining Jokers - The Spursy thread

Thursday Spursday.

When they have two games to play, at the same time, on different continents, in different competitions, I will start to feel for them!

Think all supporters are in agreement about that but where are the journalist who ask questions to the people in charge? Or do they simply stay in their (ivory)tower and shut the door not answering to any form of criticism?

Yeah after last season and how the talking tossers called us disrespectful I couldn’t give a shit about fixture pile ups for other teams.

He gave the motm award to the toilet which looks a lot like spurs new stadium.

He also called it his MOM award on social media, not MOTM award.

So is the toilet his mum? Did he rush in during the game to speak to her? bit of bitty?

i put off watching the amazon shit because i have psychological problems. mourinho entertains the shit out of me and i knew i would enjoy it. i despise spurs and pretend he’s intentionally tanking them after doing the same at united, so i can separate appreciation for his ego from his team’s results. he’s only there to wield his resume against them. again, psychological problems

watched the first episode. no apologies for being fanatically biased against him, and it is ‘reality’ ‘tv’ with editing, but kane noticeably mentions individual goals in the initial one-on-one meeting with mourinho, and seems deflated to hear that his teammates are good players

danny rose seems like he needs a therapist. that meeting with mourinho was really strange to watch. ‘it’s not fair’, like me calling my fourth-grade teacher sexist for telling me to get back in my chair

then he says ‘i’m talking to daniel next’ and jose says ‘open your heart. whatever you want’

Will be interesting to see who leaves Spurs now. I think they still want a new CB, but Foyth will then go out on loan and they’ll have 4. Aurier might leave, but Tanganga is still there as a utility versatile defender.

Rose and Sessegnon are not needed, they have a player more than needed in central midfield and also in forward areas (7 players for the striker and wide positions). There were rumours over Dele Alli but I’m not sure if it’s serious.

The Athletic:

Tottenham Hotspur have explored the possibility of signing England central defender John Stones on loan from Manchester City, however as things stand that move does not appear likely to develop, David Ornstein can reveal.

Conversations are understood to have taken place on Sunday and City are looking to move on a right-sided centre-back today, but they still expect that to be Eric Garcia to Barcelona rather than Stones.

The finances involved in a deal for Stones, 26, are also thought to be problematic for Tottenham, who are currently focusing on alternative options such as Antonio Rudiger of Chelsea.

The 27-year-old Germany international is believed to favour a switch to Jose Mourinho’s side, who have been maintaining that they are done in the market having signed six first-team players this summer. But the move could depend on the Blues’ willingness to do business with their rivals and Rudiger is also being considered by other teams, including AC Milan.

Danny Rose is said to be “relaxed” about staying at Tottenham until January or seeing out his contract that expires next summer, and will reassess his options in the new year if the right offer doesn’t come in this month, reports Charlie Eccleshare.

Spurs are desperate to offload the left-back, but there has been no firm interest — and he will likely have to wait until the transfer deadline for EFL clubs on October 16 to see if anyone from below the Premier League makes a firm bid.

Serge Aurier and Dele Alli however are expected to stay unless big offers come in.

Danny “Bale who?” Rose. :joy:

Well, that was Spursy.

Mou implosion well on tbe way

How long did it take Bale in his first spell to play in a winning spurs side? Wasnt it something absurd like 18 months?

He might even have the PL record for the most games before playing in a winning team. Don’t think it was 18 months though? 18 games maybe?

It is a little sad, seeing great football moments like this happen with no fans. A Spursy collapse like this just isn’t the same without the images of shell-shocked and anguised Spurs fan cursing the corrupt universe and their own players.

Had to google it, it was 25 games, but it was August 2007 to September 2009 for Games 1-25.
