Grass in retractable roof stadiums has proven to be a bit of a pain in the ass, hence the current generation where the field also has be retractable. A lot of the first wave of retractables abandoned the use of natural surfaces and just use artificial turf. Doing both in a mild climate like the UK may not be compelling as an investment.

Spurs spending is strong already this summer. Like Man U last season, i expect a significant upturn in their form, but they will still be Spursy.

As I said elsewhere, I am not sure how Tonali and Fernandes fit together.
But I think they´re both fine midfielders. Fernandes in my view could be a really top class player once he starts to really take control of games.
Where are they getting all the money from? Haven’t they got a billion pound stadium project to pay off on top of all the hundreds of millions spent on players and wages?
Daniel Levy left so after 25 years of financial restraint it’s like a young person getting their first pay cheque and blowing the lot that weekend, they might regret it once they sober up, have bills piling up and are living off instant noodles but for now it’s all fun splashing the cash on shiny new things without the iron grip of your parents.
They’ll have signed a bean bag, lava lamp and blow up sofa for the forward positions before the window ends

The stadium makes them massive money. They earn as much from it for non-football events as they do for an entire season of football and that is allowed to go into their football budget

Why do I feel it’s an attempt to make Europe and if it fails its going have a horrible knock on effect. None of it’s particularly concerning me anyhow. They will win the transfer window though so good for them.

It’s exactly that. Spurs under Levy, when spurs made the CL final (No.6 baby), never capitalised and invested (in the squad). Now they are playing catch up.
