They should. This is a typical Conte transfer window so far. He bought a goalkeeper, two defenders a defensive midfielder and a counter forward.Safety first.
Spurs was a tough cookie for us last year, it will be this season too.

Rather keep Lloris on as # for the next 25 years than sign that smirk mug looking cunt.
But I’m no Spurs’ fan so go on ahead Mr Levy.
What goalie have they bought?
Frazer Forster
Oh really….
I really don’t understand the hype around Spurs this season. TalkSport have just done a long segment about Spurs’ chance to win the league. That’s laughable as far as I am concerned.
Perhaps but they want a challenger to cheaty and are keen for evidence it’s not us - let’s face it we deserve to be marked down after Fulham and unless we are 4 points clear at the top we will be talked down.
Some think they city’s main rival for title.
Even Conte thinks they arent contenders this year. Obviously some expectation management in there from there, but it’s a completely unfair bar to set for them. Consolidation of third should be considered a success for them from where they have been recently and I think they’ve done smart things in the market that should hold them in good stead in their attempt to do that.
It’s hard to take much from that game really.
Yes, it’s one game. We’ll see after ten or so how things look. I can’t see them hang with City and Liverpool over a normal season, that should be too much to ask for. Too soon.
Facing Chelsea next should give us more a clue where both teams are.
One advantage they hold over their title or top four rivals, whatever their true aim is, is that the great majority of their best players are usually very resistant to injuries. We’ll see how they cope with the added burden of Champions League games (Conte hasn’t fared well in that competition with stronger teams - we’ll see if he’s improved on that) but I know for sure that playing them will be incredibly difficult, even if our lads are at the top of their game.
For sure, I fully expect it to be one of the most difficult fixtures of the season. Fundamentally, I think Conte is similar to Benitez, Mourinho, Simeone and that particular branch of the coaching tree or risk spectrum if you will; coaches who are extremely good at minimising risk and be reactive, tremendous at setting teams up against presumably better opponents.
I’ll always sort of dread matchups against teams with this type of manager. I’m always optimistic, but in these sort of matchups it’s never a surprise for me if it ends up in a not so super exciting spectacle.
They’ll be having them as favourites if they beat Chelsea this week, then they’ll be calling them Spursy for the rest of the season after they pick up like 2 points from then next 4 games.
That’s the thing with “football” fans, doesn’t take much thinking for them to draw to conclusions at the speed of light.
Richarlison…what a prick…
They are wanking about him doing some keepy ups at 2-0.
If they were top I’d feel they would be far worse than some Arsenal fans.
