So Burnham is getting involved because he’s just released another statement on it all, this stinks to high heaven ![]()
But they have to learn lessons from this.
And the biggest one is: no more state-backed or state-adjacent teams. It’s much much more easier for them to circumvent all manner of safeguards because they can employ the entire apparatus of a freaking nation-state to appear “legitimate”
That obviously isnt true given the stories we have seen even just this year of pop stars and footballers threatened with bankruptcy for not paying taxes
So PSG next then huh, yet Newcastle dont seem to be doing it.
Not one of them are billionaires.
I think the latest post by @GermanRed means he has backtracked on this. But the whole thing was completely unnecessary.
“If wrongdoing is established…”
Erm, about that.
It has been Andy lad, it has been. And it has been many years in the making, with loads of obfuscation and non-cooperation to contend with.
He needs to shut his yapper. Since he spoke, mistakenly, it has only raised more questions and concerns about him.
But they are likely to be multimillionaires
lower ranked ones. None of them are true fat cats.
I spotted that too and it really annoyed me. He should have said something like “Now that wrongdoing has been established, let the appeal process complete…”
He obviously knows that he fucked up yesterday, and this is him backtracking.
Do you think the contents of Man City’s appeal tomorrow will be made public?
No
Man City be like

The concern is they are going to be more like Tyler Durden at the end of fight club
The deadline for Man City to make their appeal is Friday.
Precedent indicates that City’s appeal will be considered and decided upon before punishments are declared.
Though that is not guaranteed. And a subsequent appeal against any sanctions could follow.
Exactly how long the process - which will be heard by a new three-person commission - will take is as yet unclear.
One section of the Premier League regulations says that an appeal should conclude no more than 12 weeks after it is filed, and a decision should be made within 30 days of its end.
What are your thoughts on etihads interference, are they likely to have a case, potentially influenceing the PLs final decisions?
No, they don’t have a case. Man City served statements from 24 individuals. If none of those were from Etihad they can’t introduce them now. If they were then the tribunal found against them. Same for the government payment claims in the media.
