to answer his @klopptinho question though, if you went to the club shop and donated money - post tax money- so long as you were not affiliated with the club, then i assume thats just income.
if you are involved with the club in anyway, well that then becomes an issue.

Yeah 100% it was not articulated well. I did consider asking what would happen in terms of a person leaving money to a football club in a will when they pass on.

From what i managed to find out about paying more for a product in the club shop, it comes down to fair market value.
