Here it was raved about for how much effort went into it being regionally accurate including the accents. Then you find out that the 3 task members nailing those Delaware county accents are English, Irish and South African

Sheâs a cracking actress, Iâve seen her in a few things. The name actually rang a bell when she was in âRunning Manâ and I discovered that she was in a Doctor Who episode called âThe Rings of Akhatenâ as a child actress alongside Matt Smith and Jenna Coleman.
The odd thing is, she is now the split of Jenna Coleman at that age.
The BBC have cancelled this yearâs Christmas Doctor Who special and are now tendering for a new production company:

Widowâs Bay S1 finished yesterday. I really cannot recommend it highly enough. Each episode is an absolute gem by itself, but each is woven so wonderfully into an incredibly well done season long arc.

I think I have the one episode left and aim to watch it this weekend. Itâs been great. Having an episode release each week may have worked in its favour too

Cant remember the episode number but the shotgun in the morgue had me laughing my head off after a fairly tense episode. So funny yet totally understandable in that situation. Its that detail and ability to flip between humour and horror without either seeming out of place that for me makes this a joy to watch.

House of Dragon is back - I want to like it and there is a lot that I should like, but I just donât care about anything they are showing us. There are far too many characters who are simply a person with a name who hasnt been fleshed out as characters so when something happens the only reaction it generates is a shoulder shrug even if you were able to tell what the fuck it was you were supposed to have seen.

To @Limiescouse and anyone else it may concern, I finished Widowâs Bay. My word, where do I begin⌠Photography, atmosphere, individual performances, back-and-forth between literally every kind of horror and humor⌠I swear, some of these moments were unscripted! I have to do a bit of research to learn what John Carpenter and Stephen King think about it - I feel there were quite a few references to their work (and literal reference to the latter in one episode), as well as Lovecraftâs, obviously. How they managed to keep it so interesting and original is beyond me.
Oh, and Rosemary is THE GOAT!

Obviously reaches wider. Plenty of vibes from Jaws and other movies/ shows/ books. The variety has really helped keeping you off balance I think because you never quite know which way it will take you. the humour is great too. One of my favourite scenes is one I mentioned before about a character with a shotgun - looks really silly, but in the context of this scene makes perfect sense and my second thought was âyeah, if that was me, Iâd be doing exactly the same thingâ.
I watched the last episode a week ago and thought it was a great way to finish.

For me, the funniest moment was the said character and the forgotten purse - this is one of the moments that I had in mind when I said they felt unscripted. 
I think we could easily compile a list of films that might have been big influences here (funnily enough, while I wasnât a big fan of Cabin in the Woods, certain parts of the story felt like callbacks to it).

The lady behind was a writer for parks and rec. She says she wrote the first script for this show as an audition for parks and rec (hence the humor) and after getting the gig couldnât shake the feeling there was a real show in her idea so spent the next ten years continuing to develop it. She describes herself as a comedy writer but horror lover so this was the natural outcome but she was always really conscious of never shining a light on any of the âjokesâ for fear of taking you out of the horror vibe. That is why so many of them are almost incidental like the shotgun scene in the morgue.
Another thing is have you ever seen that famous tweet of the woman who went to a Halloween party dressed as the babadook only to realize it wasnât THAT sort of Halloween party? That is Katie Dipold the creator of Widowâs Bay

Iâd never heard that story so just googled it⌠
My only negative in regards to Widowâs Bay was that the assistant mayor character (forget her name) looking like an off-brand Alison Brie. Libido didnât quite know what to do with itself.
