Just found a show on Disney that i’d never heard of. The Lowdown. It has Ethan Hawke as the lead and a good supporting cast by the looks of it. A Neo-noire comedy/ drama about a journalist. Looks promising.

It’s great. I raved about when it came out. Its from the same guy who made Reservation Dogs hence the Tulsa connection.

A Will Ferrell comedy with 10 episodes has just landed on Netflix -
Called The Hawk… Apparently, created by WF it is supposed to be in a similar vein to Happy Gilmore - Reviews are mixed though
Finally watched the last couple of episodes of Fall Out. I really enjoyed this season but the first and last scenes are probably my favourite of the run. Can’t wait for season 3.
Also finished watching Monarch season 2. Less said about that one…

Games Workshop published their annual report yesterday and have disclosed that United Artists and Mike Flanagan (awesome news!) have been brought on to work on the project they have with Amazon. No disclosure yet as to what it is or whether it will be for a film or series but apparently the outlining of the project has been completed and scripting will be next. Henry Cavill still involved.
Meanwhile, they also announced an episode of season two of secret levels will again be a Warhammer one, this time from its fantasy setting, Age of Sigmar (I grew up a fan of the fantasy setting over the 40k one but much preferred the pre age of sigmar version they had and seem to be slowly returning to through the old world).
There is also an animated tv show underway featuring the DeathWatch which will be released via Amazon.

I couldn’t believe the news when I saw it. He’s a household name, an amazing director, although almost everything he does is within the horror genre. That said, cosmic and body horror should be a big part of WH30K/40K universe…
I’m still of opinion that Cavill will play Titus in his quest to reclaim the five hundred worlds of Ultramar, by the way. Games Workshop have been leaning heavily on Ultramarines for quite a while, I see it continuing here.

That’s exactly why I was so excited when I saw the news. He’s not just a ‘name’ he is someone who you would think could understand and project what drives that universe.
I am watching another unimaginably bad show - La Brea. Its about a sink hole that opens up in downtown LA in the La Brea tar pit and the people who fall through it go back to 10,00 BC. There everyone speaks immaculate english and they do all sorts of absurd footprint leaving shit that seemingly has no impact on the future in the way that time travel stuff is supposed to. But its not that they have different rules for time travel in the show, because they play with that idea throughout. They just ignore how stupid it all is and move on.
Every episode is just multiple cycles of someone going
“this task is dangerous. you must stay here and stay safe”
“No way. I’m going with you”
“No you’re not”
“yes I am”
“Ok then. lets go”
It’s just appallingly bad. So bad I would recommend it as a joyful hate watch because its so fucking stupid. I only have 3 episodes to go before Ive finished it and Im going to feel so empty afterwards.

I think we only made it 3 episodes in before we gave up. It just looked like they had a different writer each week making it up on the hoof.
Last night watched one of the best programmes on tv…late night…Calvin Harris for 2 hours…amazing..
I had to Google it. The person looks quite old in that picture, but it’s a high school photo apparently, that threw me.

I just mentioned to a Welsh speaking friend of mine that Star Wars is going to be shown on S4C dubbed into Welsh:
He said that he thought Chewbacca was speaking Gogledd (Northern Welsh) anyway.

New episodes of Ted Lasso have been out since Wednesday—or rather, one new episode every Wednesday. I just wanted to say how annoying I find it to always have to wait a week for the story to continue.
