Not sure there is an answer to threads going off-topic… sometimes it can be seen as productive for the conversation, other times not so much though…
What is interesting, in the ‘heat of battle’ shall we say, when posters are going at the subject matter to hand hammer and tongs, even when the original thread title objective was lost some 20 or so posts prior… yeah, what is interesting… is the amount of likes, hearts and laughing emojis these wayward posts generate :0)
What is even more interesting… half the time, on the off-topic posts… it is the mods themselves, that issue these agreeable emojis

I don’t think I’ve ever looked to see if any of my posts has got any kind of emoji or who gave it.
