Well obviously not now, but 12 or 18 mths ago he would have been.

Firstly heās been very good in the majority of games over the last 2 seasons. Maybe weāll only realise how good when heās gone.
Also, I think it is a different kind of pressure being a superstar in your home town, where every defensive action is analysed by millions of armchair body language experts. I imagine it would feel quite freeing for him to move to another city. I for one donāt begrudge him this. Itās the clubās fault heās leaving for free
Iām in the minority, but I canāt wait to see the back of him. Iām fed up of his half arsed performances, perfect example being Man Utd at home where he was an utter disgrace. Iād have had Conor Bradley first choice but he seems to be injury prone unfortunately. The only thing Iām annoyed about it is not getting a transfer fee but weāll be fine, lost far better players over the years.
Itās a lot easier to be a called a lazy cunt when its said in a language you dont understand.
For me, the absolute key is van Dijk. If he sticks around, a progressive re-build of the defence is possible, the midfield is sound enough to require only incremental improvement, and the focus is on the attack. Take him out of the equation, and we are really working with one established defender in his prime.
Whoāll soon have one year left on his contractā¦
But if he wasnāt leaving on a free where is the 100m coming from ?
I have nothing against Real
But their track record of cuntishness means even if there isnāt yet evidence of tapping up etc you can be sure they have tried to be dirty.
Donāt for get the signing on fee!
Who is also yet to play 40+ games a seasonā¦
Not terribly fussed about this, tbh, the lad has been a good player for us,but those days seemed past, and at times he looked like he didnāt want to be here, anymore.
He wanted out he has got it,it seems.
The other two are a worry though, particularly VVD,that would leave a big hole in our defence,so we need him for a couple more years and concentrate on getting a replacement up to speed.
Same with Mo,though a replacement down the track may be slightly easier to find.
Those two will go sometime, but if they go this summer, the club will have a hell of a job to keep up the head of steam.
Yah some donāt like the nomenclature ānegligenceā re our contract situation but replacing TAA without a transfer fee is made significantly harder if we are also losing two pivotal players for nothing at the same time. This then gets compounded by the need to bring in a LB and do other business before considering that our other key CB will be entering his final year. Regardless of reasons, itās really going to hurt us financially and on the pitch.
I really donāt get the fume and hatred in some places. God forbid any of us wouldnāt want a change in our careers at some point. He has been an excellent player for us. CL number 6 and the end of the drought for PL.
He should be always welcomed by Liverpool supporters, until he plays against the Reds. Then he should be welcomed like Crouch, Lallana etc etc
logged on to say the same. Some of the fans disgust me with their comments.
i thought the clubs motto was Youll Never Walk Aloneā¦until you decide you might want to try something else of course - then youre a judas rat cunt.
lets win the league, celebrate and wish him well in his new ventures.
Other players have come ans goneā¦the club will be fine.
Some of the disgraceful and disgusting comments on Trent, coming from a minority of our fanbase on social media is shameful.
Yeah, will definitely remember him as a club legend.
I donāt take this for granted, 9 years is also a beautiful and rare story. Doesnāt have to be 15 or whatever. Plus, the unusual player he was, the success we had in almost all competitions, etc.
Never doubted his commitment on the pitch. Another thing is his relaxed (sometimes too relaxed) manner. Yeah, concentration might have suffered at times.
Plus perhaps also, maybe his physique has started reaching itās limits for the full back position. Iāve seen it with other players. Riise was also better defensively at LB when he was leaner than later (too) bulked up (you do want to add strength but you never know it might affect your game in the future, itās not always for the better). Hence why he had this special approach to his pre-season in 2023 I think. Which maybe didnāt give him exactly the wanted results.
And itās certainly not easy just to suddenly go to into midfield and become a full time midfielder. So he remained and remains a full back which you certainly can get incredible things from and also protect him in a certain way.
Spain might suit him better overall and most of the times. And as for big games and CL games, thatās where he might be tested. But not less than he was here. The likes of Rodrygo, Valverde, Rudiger (or someone else, as Real will also add at CB) will provide good cover (and arguably even better than here) for him on that side.

Negligence is failing to use the care and attention that a reasonably prudent person would apply in the same situation. I donāt thatās whatās going on here, and I think itās just a big word FSG Out fans have heard other FSG Out use and think makes them sound clever. The irony being the ājust give him whatever he wantsā position most of them hold in relation to any contract or transfer is a much more negligent approach to football business.
I donāt think itās particularly likely that FSG failed to put more than reasonable terms in front of a very talented player entering his prime. People are acting like they just forgot to do something about Trent.
My opinion is that this is mostly driven by Trent and he has had this career path in mind for some time. I donāt have a problem with that particularly. He is entitled to do what he wants with his career.
The other thing to bear in mind here, is that we have no idea what discussions have take place at Kirkby around this. It might be that when discussing this, Slot has indicated that he would prefer a more orthodox right back and suggested that the huge outlay it would take to keep Trent might be better spent elsewhere?
Nobody should be losing their shit at anyone because a) itās a fucking game and weāre all grown ups. And b) we have no clue what factors have driven the decision making on this.
Totally agree, sad to see him leave and I wish him all the best, he has given a lot of years, toil and sweat for LFC.

Absolutely terrible from these types of fans:
