Trent ALEXANDER-ARNOLD: 2024/25

I must be so cynical that I can’t really see any of this as anything but just negotiating tactics.

Yeah, he left 442 a few weeks ago and has set up his own channel now, instant subscribe lol

Yeah I enjoy listening to most tactical analysis and enjoy deep dve on Redmen TV

Is it or is it what a fan/supporter feels, I do think the Trent brand is a consideration for him.

Stevie wouldn’t have thought of leaving if the team was as good as we have been since Jurgen came in.

It’s as if they are two different players in different contexts, who share a love for a common club.

Stevie probably felt, rightly, were he to leave, the club would be in a worst position. Whereas Trent can leave knowing the club is in a good place and doesn’t rely solely on him.

We could’ve done with him today

Nah didn’t you hear some random rag says he wants out so we gotta slag him off and treat him like he’s not important at all.

Trent didn’t fare too well in the fixture at Anfield, where Robinson ran us ragged, although that wasn’t just Trents fault as Mo rarely helps him

Any news on when he’s back ? I’d hate for him to leave the club without playing another minute of the 6 odd matches left.

Fuck him. If Bradley stays fit he should play every minute, TAA has decided he doesn’t want to be here anymore.

He can drive the bus.

Never felt any player is obliged to stay as long they do it respectfully. If TAA leaves, my only amusement is how he said he wanted to be a Liverpool captain just in September. So if he leaves , he expects to leave and then come back another day to be captain?

Nah.

He’s captained the club…thats what he said when they asked him what he wanted and he said Balon Dor

Arguably the best player in the world in his position or at least he stands out with some of his passing ability.

It’s the mindset of the football academy kids today. ‘I want to be the best in the world’.

So I have no problem with Trent talking about the Ballon D‘Or.

Whether he stays or leaves for RM, TAA is never winning the Ballony D’or.

In a way I agree, not just because a RB is a really hard position to win that, but throughout his career with us, if there is one criticism or weakness, is that he always seems to have that lapse of concentration or focus and seem too casual at times. I don’t think you can ever find a player like him, so unique and just so good at his strengths but nope I don’t think he has that capacity to be the Balon winner nor be our permanent captain. A legend nonetheless.

Doesn’t score enough considering makes two.

Except moving to Madrid totally fucks his chances of ever winning one. :joy:

Only fullbacks (left or right) ever come close to winning the Ballon d’Or have been Roberto Carlos and Dani Alvez. Both were a lot more spectacular in the way they play compared to Trent.
Unless Trent is thinking about transforming himself into a right winger, and even then he doesn’t have the qualities to be a top right winger, I don’t see how he would ever come even remotely close to winning the Ballon d’Or, Real Madrid or otherwise.

Also, the Ballon d’Or is total bullshit
