Bradley has his strengths as a footballer and is a better athlete but from a technical standpoint, he isnât at TAAâs level. Few are.
If these are his last appearances in a Liverpool shirt, enjoy them and remember them. It will be a long time before we see a full back do the things TAA does.

Trent used the exact same caption (Special Moments) on his IG post yesterday about the goal as Virgil used to announce his contract renewal
Itâll be on Wednesday so all the spotlight gets taken away from Arsenal.
Nah, it will be Sunday. Reporters will stick their microphones in front of him, heâll start shaking his head in disbelief, mouth open, wry smile, eyes wide, looking at all four sides of Anfield and heâll say, starting with a stutter and then growing into it: âHow can I leave after a night like this?â
And then heâll rip off his Liverpool shirt, Hulk-style, to reveal a Real Madrid training top underneath: âTHIS IS HOW, YOU DAFT CUNTS! UNCLE FLORENTINO SAYS HELLO!â
We announced the other two at the end of the working week.
So thatâs likely going be the case.
Some act like heâs turning his back on the club or fans. Even if he decides to leave, itâs not like he didnât cherish his time here or it meant nothing to him. Sure, Iâd love it if he stayed but Iâm not going to act like a scorned lover if he goes..
He isnât turning his back on anything, thatâs fans reflecting away from the clubsâ faults. Why? Because fans always have to take the side of the club and if you donât youâre somehow seen as âlesserâ, well, not me. I certainly donât agree with letting 3 key players enter the final 6 months on their contracts, that would be stupid of meâŠ.what other club gets itself into a position like this anyway? The truth of the matter is the club have let this unfold and materialise which subsequently gives cause for fans to flip their argument from âDonât be silly, the club would never allow something so obsecure as thisâ to â Ok well now we find ourselves here, better get on board with itâ
Now the reason Trent is going is because weâve left it too late to undo the untenable, we opened the door for teams like Madrid to swoop in and present their offer which we cannot match and I believe theyâve offered 300-350k a week with a tidy bonus fee and weâve gone ânah, youâre alrightâ
I think the reason why people get frustrated at you is because you have a tendency to be critical of the club for not doing things that you think are easy, when in fact itâs really complicated. Itâs a kind of dunning-kruger thing.
What goes unstated and unappreciated in the contract discussion is how much upheaval there has been behind the scenes at Liverpool. Going all the way back to Julian Ward leaving, and Liverpool finding themselves without a Director of Football.
Football Contracts are hard to sort out at the best of times. Itâs not going to be easy without a DOF, Jurgen taking on a lot of that responsibility, and then a temporary appointment in place.
Then Klopp announces he is leaving. That meant that players would be reluctant to sign new deals without clarity on the managers position. Also FSG took the opportunity to use Kloppâs departure to totally restructure the sporting operation at Liverpool, which I would expect meant a hold on new contract talks.
No player of the level of Van Dijk, Salah or Trent are going to sign a new deal without a sense of whether they like the manager.
Salah said it himself in his interview when he signed. He would not have penned a new deal if he thought Liverpool werenât in good shape to win stuff.
Absolute nonsence.
When Trent last agreed terms he signed a four year deal. At the same time Jota and Alisson - both older than Trent - agreed six year deals. That suggests to me that he (or his agent) have had their eye on an exit for some time. It would not surprise me if Madrid had been in his ear for years and this move has been planned a long time.
Madrid have form for this. It is incredible how many world class players they pick up for free. They do this by setting out their stall years in advance and inducing players to run down their contracts.
Maybe. Maybe not.
I donât think itâs so much having an eye on an exit but just maximising bargaining power. He would have signed his previous contract when he was 22/23, which means that if we take the standard wisdom on contract extensions, they would start talking about it starting around the time he was 24, which is pretty much around the time that players supposedly start hitting their peaks.
I think comparing him to Jota (for whom that would have been his âpeak yearsâ contract), or Alisson, for whom that could be argued the same as well given the supposed goalkeeper longevity, is rather misdirected. Iâd expect whatever new contract he signs to be at least 6 years now, and that would just be a function of his age and where he is in his career.
After all, weâre not suggesting that NĂșñez only signed a 4 year contract because he had his eye on an exit when he was 27, are we?
Actually, come to think of it, have we signed any player around that age to a contract of that length?
Moments before Virgil placed his hands on Trents sholders and neck saying âYou broke my heart Trentâ
Has Mo been eating tins of spinach?
His forearms look like Popeyeâs.
I have a good feeling that it will be three out of three of our spine have re-signed their contracts.
Nothing at all to do with your post, but it really annoys me irrationally that people say something like that.
Whatâs wrong with âsigned new contractsâ?
Irrationally makes sense in that response âŠ
Since their current contracts are not ended until the end of the season letâs say they have signed an extension to their current contract not a new one.
