Gone with Dortmund vs Sevilla tonight.
1-0 Porto haha
Yes. 60 seconds.
1-0 Sevilla. Suso
Suso sent Sancho to the cleaners there. Nice.
1-1 Mo Dahoud
Haaland should be our No1 summer target. Monster of a player.
Unfortunately he is a Raiola player.
Ronaldos work rate is about as good as me when I play with a hangover. Only difference is he will get the penalty or a 2nd half hatty.
We should definitely get him. Between him and Mbappe we’ll be spoiled for choice.
Very surprised that Sevilla lost at home, that too to a very iffy Dortmund team. Sevilla used to be so strong in their home turf.
Reminds me of another team…
Chin up mate . We have been worse and we will rise again. .
With all the stadiums being empty, I don’t think playing at home is much of an advantage at the moment.
There is the travel to consider, which in a continental competition can be long and tiring. Thankfully Europe is no where near the biggest continent.
Not sure if it is just me, but seeing an aged Messi and Ronaldo trying to live up to their past hype and dominate games as world beaters, has become a tad sad to see the decline…
I suppose it is a bit like in the 70’s/80’s going to the Grafton (elephants graveyard) on a Sunday night and trying to cop-off with someone under 60yrs old… Seeing all the old dears giving it all they have got left in the tank before the varicose veins and false teeth become painfully obvious to everyone else!
Messi is still a freak, his team is just shit. Ronaldo reinvented himself as Van Nistelrooy mk2 the tap in and penalty merchant so still gets his goals but is a shell of his former self. It’s actually ridiculous the levels they’ve played at for well over a decade. They’ve dominated football long enough, time for the next generation in Mbappe and Haaland to step up. Saying that, they look pretty unstoppable atm.
Yup, teams travelling can still be an issue due to unfamiliarity especially in Europe but home advantage is little only in so much as away goals and so on.
Eight cities across six European countries currently under consideration to host Liverpool’s Champions League last 16 second leg against RB Leipzig, including the Puskas Arena. As things stand, travel restrictions mean it can’t be played at Anfield. #LFC [@JamesPearceLFC]
I think UEFA, as usual, acted like the utter morons they are. With Corona still raging and Europe basically fragmented into various Bubbles, why did it think it can be business as usual???
They had nearly TWO freaking months to assess the situation and plan for alternatives.
One option could have been
- Suspend the games after group stage.
- Use the CL/EL slots for league games.
- Finish the leagues by April.
- Resume the CL/EL
A. In the regular home/away fashion if the situation improves or
B. In selected hotspots like the proposed Euro
