UEFA has stood down the VAR who made the decision to guide the referee to give PSG their penalty last night.

Tomasz Kwiatkowskiwas supposed to be VAR for the Real Sociedad v RB Salzburg Champions League game this evening.

However he has now been replaced.

Although UEFA are yet to make a public statement over the decision to award PSG a penalty deep into stoppage time against Newcastle last night, it is the clearest indication yet the think the ruling was incorrect.

The referee is more to blame. VAR asked him to take a look which is fair enough but he should have stood by his decision.

Good process boys

We were told to get on with it if i recall.

Funny thing is Newcastles tactic of sitting deep and inviting pressure as they did was risky, and the only reason it was 0-1 till so late in the game had fuck all to do with bravery and more to do with PSG missing chances all over the pitch. Thats being mostly overlooked.

They were riding their luck the whole game until the last minute, the goal that put them head came courtesy of terrible keeping by Donna.

PSG aren’t good enough to go to Dortmund and win and if Newcastle have a few players back dispatch of Milan handily.

Dortmund are in the middle of a very tough run;

  • Sunday 3 Dec - Leverkusen away (who sit top of the Bundesliga)
  • Wed 6 Dec - Stuttgart away in the German Cup - Stuttgart have had a solid start this season
  • Sat 9 Dec - RB Leipzig home (who are 1 point behind Dortmund in the league)
  • Wed 13 Dec - the match vs PSG
  • Sat 16 Dec and Tues 19th Dec are winnable league fixtures against Augsburg and Mainz.

Looking at the above, if Dortmund need to manage legs, they will likely do it against PSG, given they are top of the group already and have qualified - so PSG prob have a greater chance than we think of getting the result they need.

Group of death they said.

Sevilla vs PSV and Galatasaray vs United

Scum go 1-0 up :0(

Now 2-0 - :0(

Rather then stay in it.

So much for “hell”, eh…

I am just hope no Manc fans get stabbed, though a Turkish friend says that is more an Asian side of the bridge thing (and no, he is not a Galatasaray fan - though he is a Besiktas guy)

Back to 2-1 :0)

Onahahaha.

Come on Galaaaa

Sevilla: Europa League, here we come

2-0, is PSV fielding a reserve team?

2nd Goal for Gala but ruled just offside

That was a very quick offside check…have they spotted Lindelof?

Hopefully Sevilla can hold on.

Don’t want them near the Europa League.

Then surely a loss is better?

A win puts them in prime position for 3rd because Lens are whooping their arse when Sevilla visit.
