Happened once I can remember which was Mariner when Kav asked him to look at the monitor against Fulham and he looked and laughed at it and stuck with no penalty.

You get a real sense of how broken VAR is as a concept when the conclusion of the talking heads is that the Eze one shouldnāt have been a penalty but it was wrong for VAR to correct it.

I think that VAR provides a safety blanket for the onfield officials consequently the bar for penalties is much lower than it was before VAR. The one last night was a classic example. Iām not at all sure but I will give the penalty but then let VAR have a closer look.
Arsenal are surely justified in their anger though and particularly with the appalling intimidation of Simeone and bench.

Hate to say this but since the first leg against Real Madrid Iām expecting Bayern to win the whole thing.
I thought PSG would beat Bayern more handily, but it was a close one. Both sides emerge with a lot of credit as the best two attacking teams went toe to toe. Itās a shame that wasnāt the final.
Iām still backing PSG to advance to the final and then comfortably beat whoever faces them.
The team which has been top of the PL table all season just got wedgied by a team which sits 25 (twenty fucking five, lads) points behind BarƧa.

Unfortunately, it is true. Everything coming up Arsenal these last seven days and Iām sitting here thinking āwell, the only positive is that itās Arsenal and not Man Unitedā. Then I remember that Man United are also above us and in CL next season and are about to strengthen their side the right way, rather than sign overpaid stars. Wake me up when itās 2019.
