UEFA Champions League (Part 2)

They saw how much fun we had with Freed From Desire and just copied it. Typical.

Excuse me ? Winning a final 5-0 is a dream scenario for most clubs and fans.

Seeing PSG players lifting up the owner as if he’s the Saviour of European Football makes me want to vomit my chicken and veg soup out!

Pitch invasion.

Strip them and start the knockout rounds again.

On an uplifting note, the tifo commemorating Enrique’s daughter Xana was beautiful :face_holding_back_tears::heart:

I wish we had played We’re the Champions at least once.

It’s almost feels sacrilegious not to do so.

Yeah but YNWA > Queen (and I really like Queen). Nothing can match the Tottenham YNWA.

Mane 17/18 is still the last player to score a goal for the losing side in the final.

That’s a trivia question if I’ve ever heard one!

Yeah, was about to say the same. A quiz question. Cool, though.

Looking forward to us being here next season in Budapest…

Not now, please. It requires a hell of a lot of words to explain that tradition and how obscene it has become with the rich boys from the west end in Oslo and elsewhere.

Being quite an interesting CL season, one that clearly underlined the importance of periodization to enable a team continue to grow through the course of a season…

I thought Liverpool paid dearly for over prioritizing the group phase games…

Also showcased the changing trends in midfield and the dominance of athleticism. With all the teams possessing elite fitness and conditioning, as well as nutrition, the ability to add a technical edge to the game, is increasingly the difference.

PSG have won thru dominance in midfield, but not in the manner of the dominant Jurgen Klopp Liverpool of Hendo, Fab and Gini.

The PSG MF trio of Vitinha, Neves and Ruiz are not only capable of the level of elite athleticism, but, especially in small spaces and under pressure, are able to perform at an even more elite level.

I suspect that this will be the trend moving forward. But football is constantly evolving.

Will be interesting to see the battle next season between Barca and Madrid in MF, with the Madridistas built on power first and the technical second, in MF and Barca the other way round.

And in the EPL, Arsenal bringing in Zubimendi, City likely Reindjers, with Rodri back, but still lacking…
And Liverpool looking to add Wirtz…

The best Champions League final performance I can remember, PSG were outstanding so congratulations to them and Luis Enrique, what a job he has done with these young players.

PSG got rid of the overpriced, overpaid and overrated players of old who thought more about their egos and bank balances than the club. These players who play for PSG are young, hungry, talented and terrific to watch. Could be a dominant force for years to come.

Omg! Somewhere in Paris. The police are over zealous here.

This is lovely.
