UEFA Champions League (Part 2)

Moronic by the goalkeeper

100% a penalty. If that isn’t dangerous play then I don’t know what is…

Benfica have done a remarkable job over the course of the last few weeks of taking me from someone who celebrated like hell their heroics in the group stage to now begrudgingly hoping they get their pants pulled down today

Gala trying to get knocked out to a 10 man Juve.

Well, well, well, Juve drew level in aggregate scores.

Astonishing performance from Juve, but this one will really, really hurt if they lose it now.

Gala just scored

Through the 5-hole, Osimhen gave the Juve keeper a much better chance to save than he should have.

I just switched on my stream to watch Juve vs Gala…and immediately Gala scored. Juve’s supporters must be cursing me (albeit my stream is a couple of minutes late from reality).

That was some save by the Gala’s keeper. I thought that was going to be a Juve goal.

Stick a fork in it. It’s done.

Give us that Galatasaray.

Come on Magnus if the final is Bodo vs Liverpool who would you support?

So apparently we are to blame for Inter losing to Bodo/Glimt over 2 legs.

I think if I had made that sort of reach, I’d have torn both of my hamstrings

Agree that Galatasary would be preferred over AM. Might be some revenge feelings due to the marginal loss to them last year.

Conceding 5 goals and scoring 7 though across the 2 legs, that’s just wild throw everything at it football. They only just scraped through.

We had 4 clean sheets leading up to the top 8. They need to take that confidence into whichever team gets drawn.

They should blame Bastoni who should have kept his hands away from LFC shirts. Yesterday they were at it again pulling shirts and diving all the time in the oppositions box. They are also in denial and disrespectful to Bodo and should have given them the credit for being the better team.

For the second goal he could have taken up a much better position further forward but he decided to stay too close to the goal line and made it easy for the Atleti attacker.
Also it feels like his reactions are slightly slower than what he used to be for us.

My first instinct was to go with @Rambler but @Rooster has this one.
Yes he ducked his head but it was in the motion of heading the ball down. And it was in a height where it’s expected to be headed and therefore the unusual action is the scorpion kick. Bensabaini got in a bad position relative to the ball and tried to compensate by sticking his boot in the air and clattering his opponent in the face.
He had an absolute shocker of a match btw, pretty much responsible for all the goals that Dortmund conceded. Assist for the first, spectacular kneed finish for the second, completely lost his mark for the third, and then the penalty conceded and a red card.
