UEFA Champions League (Part 2)

I can see Inter winning this tournament. Their pressing and defence is awesome.

What an amazing fact.

Some people have too much time on their hands.

Ofcourse I forgot it had to be us

Somehow it always felt that tie was over way before and never realized there were these many goals eventually

I mean it was 7-3 when we stopped scoring so you’re not wrong…

Their last goal was at the end of the game.

Well done Inter. Looking at the score, they don’t seem to be the Inter of old anymore. Catenaccio is dead.

Yann Sommer MoM. Well done lad!

Now who was it who said - Barca and Inter dont concede many goals

A lot of that was caused by Barca, a side Flick has playing in a way that would make you think Rodgers 13-14 side was cautious. But I think Inter’s first goal, with the areas where the FBs influenced the play, you get a great sense of how progressive this Inter side is capable of being in its own right.

Even the first title winning Chelsea side under Jose conceded 4 and 5 in CL ties against Barca and Bayern before we shut them out.

Football works in mysterious ways like that sometimes.

Just started to watch the highlights and then immediately turned off when I heard Ray Hudson’s voice.

But think about the golazoazoazoazoazos you’ll miss. They were magisterial. Like being left in in a pool of acid.

I saw the first goal,as it was the first highlight, and I think he said “he’s put it on a plate like a golden altar” and yeah, I was out!

He’s someone who doesn’t watch football’s idea of what a football commentator sounds like.

Were you here early enough to get Tommy Smyth on the early ESPN coverage? He was born in Ireland but moved to the US as a teenager and over the following 50 years increasingly became more the lucky charms mascot than an actual Irish ex pat.

US tv has a long history of putting absolute fucking morons on their football coverage thinking the additional entertainment was needed to make people watch.

Always felt inter was going to beat Barca.

Barca have too much flash , no substance.

Dembele on bench…

Don’t fuck up Paris.
